Im Russian myself and i follow everything going on the war very closely. And no, if we talk about civilians, once war come, for example to Mariupol, there was no such thing that all men stand up saying "our times come, now our turn do defend women". NO. There no such thing. Everyone try to survive, everyone was doing what according to their skills. And women able to be in the military in ukranian army. And there a lot women who rush to defend their motherland with weapon in hands, and there also examples of men, who try to run from country once mobilization was announced. How do you explain this with such binary thinking? Those women arent feminine enough?

As-salamu alaykum. Shaykh Hamza Yusuf discusses the concept of toxic masculinity and its dangers and argues against the notion that all masculinity is toxic, expressing concern about the feminization of men. He emphasizes the importance of men protecting women and children in society, especially during times of breakdown or conflict. Shaykh Hamza highlights real-life situations in Ukraine, Bosnia, and with the Yazidi girls, where women would have benefited from the defense of strong, chivalrous men. He criticizes the portrayal of physically superior women in Hollywood films as fantasy and asserts that men generally have a physical advantage over women. He urges the cultivation of chivalry in young people, stating that toxic masculinity is not true masculinity, but rather the behavior of beasts. He praises women's ability to captivate men on a deep level and emphasizes the need for men to treat women with gentleness. Shaykh Hamza condemns the idea of turning women into men and men into women, considering it an inversion of reality driven by Shaytan's influence. He concludes by stating that the ummah (community) desires strong, virile masculine men and beautiful, brittle feminine women. Wallahu a'lam.

Mother would always go easy on her sons and that made them weak. The daughters on the other hand were made to meet unrealistic and unfair expectations and that made us resentful. Let us have a nation of both men and women who work together each with their own merits, talents, roles and responsibilities to create a healthy ummah inshaAllah. One that protects all subjects of that ummah against everything and everyone that is out to destroy it. We are not eachothers enemies though some try to make it seem that way.
