At last...at last...AT LAST....I FINALLY managed to get your books purchased and delivered to me , here in Edinburgh, Scotland...the parcel went missing for a week and after threatening Amazon with carnage, the parcel turned up a couple of days ago....oh my fricken god!!!! I has all been worth the wait!! At 61 years old and a voracious reader of fantasy and science fiction for over 40 years, I started the Forgetting Moon and it was like diving off a cliff into a hurricane...this is my new obsession...ABSOLUTE SATISFACTION....Glad to see you on recovery...I can not thank you enough for your regular ongoing you tube stuff....now I am experiencing your literary talent, I am one GOD DAMN HAPPY SCOTSMAN!!

Thanks for the great review video BLD. Glad to see you're on the mend and back to reading and posting YT reviews. I wanted to read a tropical/ocean themed novel and stumbled across Ocean Prey. Read it and loved it. Now I'm all the way back at the beginning reading Rules of Prey (Lucas Davenport #1). I've got your trilogy on my TBR and will probably start The Forgetting Moon in October...

I used to read the Prey books since I used to live in the Twin Cities and knew everywhere Lucas Davenport went. I don't read them anymore; the novels have lost their color. Lucas Davenport reminded me so much of my husband, a native Minnesotan. I now much prefer Michael Connelly.

I'm with you on this one. I used to love the Prey novels when they were murder mysteries. This was the first Sanford book I DNFed. Not sure if I'll read anymore of them. Not a fan of the current settings.

I have the stand and it as the 2 best novels I’ve ever read. Pet semetary is a good place to start as it’s shorter

I haven't gotten this book yet, but I feel like it's more of a sequel to the previous Letty books, _The Investigator_ and _Dark Angel_ , which have "bigger" plots. The last Lucas (& Virgil) book, _Judgment Prey_ , was set in the Twin Cities, and for me felt a lot like the earlier books (and I didn't like 2022's _Righteous Prey_ ) Apparently, the next book (out in October) is again set in the Twin Cities and involves some kind of persecution that required Sanford to travel to the Cities for research (he's been living in a warmer state for a long while now).

Sanford already confirmed that book 35, another Lucas and Virgil case, is set in the Twin Cities.
