I read this entire series last year based on your recommendation. I loved every novel. Thanks so much, good sir. My fave is 4, Unreconciled. “Welcome to Donovan.”

Going to my cabin next week. Sci-fi horror sounds like the perfect read.

Glad you are officially back Brian and I hope you are continuing to feel better and stronger each day. I also was gonna mention if you have read “the briar king” by Greg Keyes you should review it some time! I’m reading it and I’d like to hear your thoughts about the books in the series! Take care good sir 🫡🤙🏼

My favorite sci-fi series in a very long time. Gear's Donovan series is top tier. Cannot wait for next one. Even after several books, Gear has barely scratched the surface of this Donovan hostile as HELL planet.

Whoa thanks for this, never heard of this series but just looked up Book 1 and yeah sounds awesome and fun!!

With Michael Gear's solid background as a writer of early man, along with decades writing solid sci-fi, I truly wish he would combine both, giving us a Stone-Age fantasy or sci-fi epic. No one out there is writing Stone-Age sci-fi or fantasy. What a rich idea yet to be plundered by writers like yourself.

Although Gear's in his sixties he's written or co-written almost a hundred novels, all of them long books, mostly series like Donovan. The Artifact is a rare standalone and it's great.

Tempting. I might skip book 1 and jump into it. But I'm blowing through Brad Thor's Lions of Lucerne.
