Veiled Chaos Orbs are being removed in Patch 3.24. This is fine! The way we used Veiled Chaos was to get a base with Fractured Life, roll suffixes until we're happy with them, lock suffixes, and slam the Veiled Chaos. This could potentially fill all of your prefixes up. It wasn't super common, but it was a potential risk. Now you'll do all the same setup, lock suffixes, and slam with a Veiled Orb. This will remove the meta-mod, but it can't run the risk of filling all of your prefixes! This is technically an upgrade. Then you craft a prefix to block, unveil and hope for AoE, then craft whatever your actual desired prefix is, and you're good to go! Additionally, the +1 Amulet at 36:55 should be an Agate Amulet.

Any suggestions on alternative crafts considering veiled orbs are currently 16 div each (lol). Mainly looking for advice on gloves, thanks for all the work you've put into these guides! I have 2,700 hours into PoE and still have a hard time crafting at an intermediate level. This is by far the best crafting guide for any gear that I have ever seen. Hey dudeski, just found this video while searching for...well,exactly this Info haha. I'm so excited and happy...I'm sitting here smiling and learning like a dang old goofball. I may or may not be taking notes lmao. But I was curious if you ended up starting TR pathfinder? It's what I decided to run. I've only played the last 2 and a half leagues and only played Boneshatter lol. Once on slayer and twice on Jugg. My real life PoE obsessed friend, who has been playing since the one year anniversary of its release, told me that it was a good solid build to learn about the game and its mechanics and he ended up holding my hand and doing my crafts for me while we were hanging out. I've only been able to craft one good item from scratch and it was a 2h are for my last BS jugg, which was p much halfway thru Affliction. I just finished Campaign an hour ago. I've been super busy since league start and was only able to squeeze in like 30 mins to an hour a night so far. But today I have off and spent 3 hours today finishing off acts. I am not a fuckin genius at this game, but I an a 20 year d2 addict, played d3 a lot and maxed every class in d4. Played 4000 hours of WH40k Inquisitor Martyr which is a dank Warhammer ARPG. So that experience along with my 300 hours of boneshatter gave me the confidence, possibly misguided lol, to just decide TR PF was the play and went raw dog. I spent some time studying the passive tree prior and put together what I thought was good. Well, it definitely gat dang worked and I breezed thru campaign like it was nothing. I struggled at no point. Started caustic arrow until toxic rain. I ran a 3 socket body armor until act 8 when I came across a perfect socket layout for what I was planning on running. I bought a Quill Unique bow for 5 chaos, 4 green sockets. Had TR, Void manip, vicious projectiles and faster attacks. That thing carried me from act 4 all thr way thru. I suspect it will probably steamroll thru maps for a little while too. So I'm wondering how you are finding it? If you did end up doing it at all lol. I am suspicious of the possibility that this skill is just like....super fuggin strong. It def makes me feel like a savant but I'm a bit too cautious to know that's the case haha. Fun build tho. Gonna farm as much currency as I can before I get a hard itch to start a new character. I'll use that next experience to judge how good I actually am haha Anywhere, peace love and safe travels to both of ya. Have fun and don't allow any sense of FOMO to ruin this wonderful game for ya. I've seen an interesting tech a lot of top poeninja toxic rain builds are using, where they use a widowhail (unique bow that gives 250% of quiver stats) and then use a hunter influenced quiver with 25% chaos damage multiplier, 25% damage over time multiplier, 46% increased damage to bow skills with attack, 73 max life, and 22% increased attack speed total (10% implicit + 12% crafted). This means that they basically give up their weapon slot, but in exchange gain something like 62% chaos damage multiplier, 62% damage over time multiplier, 120% increased damage to bow skills with attack, 170 max life, and 60% attack speed. Definitely better than quill rain, not sure if better than +3 bow with damage over time multiplier on it. Maybe if your quiver is perfect its better.

You pretty much nailed it with the last line. It's better at the absolute pinnacle of gearing, especially if you are using The Adorned to add a massive amount of % Chaos DoT Multi through jewels. It's substantially more expensive than a +3 bow, and not better until you can hit that peak.

I have been following you build and I love it. I had question about the Blood Rage and Defiance Banner? The PoB says that the Blood Rage is Disabled, so does that mean I should use the Banner instead? Is that there to make a choice between the 2? Or is there a way I can equip both? I am looking at the Endgame No Awakened Gems skills...

Ultimately it's an issue of fitting in all the skill gems. You kinda have to make a choice between the damage from BR or the defensive value of a banner. You could run an Unset Ring if you want to fit in both!

Chaos DoT Multi is from unveiling weapons, +2 to Level of Socketed Support gems is from unveiling Catarina weapons.

For the iolite ring is there a huge dps difference between DoT and 'added chaos damage'? Envy essences gonna be quite a lot cheaper

With Noxious Catalyst, it's a difference of about 2-3% total damage, so not massive. *Usually* when you're at the point of making an Iolite ring and putting a +% Increased Damage prefix on it, you're in the final stages of putting finishing touches on the build, so a few extra divines isn't a big issue, but you can always save some for another build, and if you're all set on resists and primary stats, an Iolite Ring is the best base!

The veiled orb is running at 8.5-9d, is there an alternative craft for a mid game TR that has outlived mapping gloves but hasn't got like 15d for the craft (assuming you hit AoE first time....)

A faster method for clusters is to pay attention to item levels. If you limit it to just going for notables it's a 1/26 aberrant fossils to hit at ilvl 64. Now, this does limit what else u can hit but for early league its an easier way to hit.

82+ will work, but going to higher item levels will increase the chance of getting other modifiers, such as t1 resistances/mana/rarity.

Hey Llarold, at 18:50 - T1s "Chaos over time" and "+2 Support gems" would require an item level of 80 and 81 respectfully, so our 78 Thicket Bow can't have those. Would be dissapointing to discover this 3k chaos deep (by emulator's opinion).

These are both crafted mods, so the item level does not matter. Item level 78 is correct.

You don't have a chaos damage modifier to affect with any catalysts on the neck. The DoT Multi suffix is just generic DoT Multi, not chaos DoT Multi. Chaos DoT Multi is a Hunter suffix, so getting it onto a +2 neck is really difficult, since fractured items can't be influenced. Getting a +2 skills, +DoT Multi, +Chaos DoT Multi neck is doable, but it's a mirror-tier craft.

It's an RNG craft, and it can definitely be like that, especially as Yellow juice prices get huge at the end of a league. No huge loss losing a t2/t4, though.

Alt-Spam usually is cheaper in the resource cost sense, but you can spend an entire night alt-spamming and wind up with nothing but a very sore wrist and a lot of anger. Buying is acceptable.

This actually winds up being safer! It's probably more expensive due to an expected increase in the cost of Veiled Orbs as opposed to old Veiled Chaos. ​@PathofEvening I've prolly watched this video like 3 times. I re-rolled my zoomancer into TRPF and am having a blast. I was able to craft my bow with Tier 1 attack speed and got a T2 88% hunter mod. First time I've got into crafting. All because of this video. I bought some T1 Fractured life gloves. Going to try and craft on those. Though, I can't afford the Vieled Orb. Is that the only way to get area of effect on gloves? My helm is going to be necro diadem to fix mana reservation issues. I have area of effect on my amulet. I need to get to that 39%. Excellent! You can just use a crafted +1 to AoE skills prefix on gloves. The difference really isn't that huge, and the cost of Veiled Orbs is absolutely insane in the current league.
