Parents: hey we know that your dear sister stacy hurt you throughout your entire life, we also know that she crashed your wedding and tried staining your image. Yea we know that she lied to us about a baby and we know that she technically kidnapped a child, but it would be sooooooo wrong to press charges and not forgive her. Could you give her a chance? I kinda believe that crazy sister's whole life is a lie. There's no super successful business in Japan, there's no husband, there's no baby (as evident in the story). I think after OP got into a better school crazy sister started her own business as a last ditch attempt to win, then she moved to Japan so that no one back home could actually check and see if her business was doing as well as she pretends. The only part I kinda believe is that she might have gotten married, but only to get to stay in Japan.

Even if OP never explicitly mentioned it, it's pretty clear who the golden child in this family is, and I am glad OP chose to cut all ties with her family. The parents are the real villains here, cause they did nothing to cut this BS out from the very beginning, and I have a hunch they did this intentionally, probably hoping that they can control one of the daughters when the inevitable bitey competition made one snap. The older sister being this unhinged, that is on the parents too, since again, they failed to do anything to stop this (OP did mention "talking to her", but I think the lack of any consequences was why she kept getting more and more unhinged). The sister made her bed, now she has to lie in it, thorns and all.

Her ego has grown monstrous, and now she endangered a baby for the sake of calling her sister's kids "illegitimate"... Also, lets not forget the ones who started this, the parents. My sister crashed my baby shower. I wasn't mad but surprised AF, since the last time that she saw me she told me that she wished that I was dead. That was at our father's funeral. She hates me because I "stole" her place in the family as the youngest. Since I was born, she flatly refuses to acknowledge my birthday; if she has to mention it, she'll only say that it was the day that ruined her life irreparably. Our father died on the week of my birthday and my sister has decided that no one in the family can recognize my birthday, which they won't do because they think that she's nuts. She honestly thought that the rest of the family felt like she did and when they didn't fall in line with her in hating me, she cut them all off, except that she still expects our mother to pay for her kids colleges despite not letting her see, speak, or communicate with them. Instead our mom made all of her grandkids bank accounts custodial and if they wish to access their money, they have to call ME.

I’m sorry but the part where she said she didn’t know him well enough to marry him but knew him well enough to have kids is INSANE to me lmao

You can tell because their parents push them to compete for so long throughout their lives that Stacey is a bit mentally unstable for that no I don't think she deserves jail time exactly but she deserves some type of high repercussion for this cuz you did kidnap your friend's child If they're still even friends.

The parents don’t need to ask the OP to help Stacy because life with Stacy was hell for the OP and the parents knew what Stacy was doing and yet did nothing to stop it and what Stacy did was so messed up she was competing with the OP which led Stacy to kidnapping her friends child crashing her sisters wedding saying the child is hers which led her to go to jail and if she and the parents didn’t want her to go to jail she shouldn’t have taken her friends child in the first place than she wouldn’t be in jail

i know its a thing, its been documented and explained a million times, i still cannot see competing with my younger brother over anything more important than a video game maybe? if my brother does anything better for himself in life then i am so happy. he gets a degree? fuck yeah! promotion at work? my niece and nephew are going to private school! buys a house? his family gets as many backyard chickens as they want!
