OP gets CPS, but OP won’t call CPS for his brother Toby and instead basically tells us that Toby will have to endure the abuse, trauma, and pain? I think by the time Toby turns 18, he won’t like anyone in that family-not even OP and I wouldn’t blame him one bit.💯
@josephbasler56242 ай бұрын
I mean story honestly Ai generated but I can see this situation happening. A lot of states have backdoor ways for kids to enter a dependency. That and even moreso a lot of abused kids are taught to fear CPS. If that's the way you were raised, telling CPS could feel unhelpful.
@jadorianempire97542 ай бұрын
@@josephbasler5624 From the CPS horror stories I’ve been told irl. Yeah, I can see CPS being unhelpful. My issues was that whoever OP’s caseworker was, was one of the good ones within that system, and then it’s like said good social worker dropped off the face of the Earth, OP nor the uncle kept their contact information? Because they HAD to have seen the condition Toby was in and thought “we may be in touch with you later for the other child in that house”. But instead they just kept going back to try and reason with the unreasonable parents instead of going the legal route.

Dude something tells me in half percent of the people that liked your comment that you guys don't understand how CPS really works because even if Op and the Uncle did fight for Toby they wouldn't just win the parents might have a better chance of winning And the only reason that OP got lucky with the uncle was due to the fact that the parents made it look like they can provide for Toby but they can't provide for OP so it would take a lot of serious work in a matter of years for them to even get Toby in their care so I don't blame the uncle for just moving on and then two I hate to say it there's a lot that OP's parents can do to have them trespass and even arrested or even sued and normally that sometimes CPS won't even care to get fully involved in finding out what's going on with the abusers which would be the parents in the situation so basically yet again even if the uncle and got them involved it might not go anywhere neither way

What? They literally go over, in the story, how the parents called CPS to avoid abandoning a minor officially. They made their kid drop out when it was legal (past sophomore year) and there was nothing mentioned about Child Trafficking unless you're calling the kid being forced to work on a farm "trafficking" which would be a bit of a misnomer. Neglect of a minor is the only clear one here, but the real charge would be child abuse and endangerment. Even still, people commit many felonies and go unpunished. Brotherman, the best proof that this IS fake (which I fully believe btw) is that he said he was 14 and in 11TH grade. Which, unless he was skipping grades which wasn't implied, is 2 years earlier than when you actually enter 11th grade.

This story cannot be true. Schools everywhere keep track of attendance. If it were commonplace for kids to be removed from school to work on the farm instead, the school would know and would report it. I grew up on a farm in TN and while some kids dropped out of HS, it was only when they were old enough (16?) and not all of them were so they could work on the farm or someone else's. CPS, in doing their research, would have noted she was not in school. Then the OP doesn't call CPS for Toby, knowing already what they can do? Yeah, this is bull.

If they tried to pull the homeschool act, it would show that the kid didnt know anything via state testing that occurs. So the parents would be forced to put him into brick and mortar. I agree education is extremely important, but I don't think you can get a good education from modern western universities anymore, at least not outside core STEM disciplines. All you get is ideological indoctrination. And all at an exhorbitant cost that outweighs any possible benefit the education could have. These days you'r better off atusying on your own on your own time and just doing certification courses where certification can directly benefit your career.

And CPS isn't saying anything? Why do I think it is a Japanese person? There is only ONE on-site crematorium in Arkansas, and it does the more common "cremate now, ceremony and collect later. Whereas it's common in Japan to have a ceremony, cremate the body at the location, then 2 hours later collect the cremains. No to mention that the laws about compulsory education are completely different there, so a 15 year old can legally be taken from school. They chose Arkansas because it's known to be very rural and backward.

Some states allow people who has their own job and financially stable where they can take care of themselves they could not live with their parents at the age of 17.
