Love that there are some level heads in Frodan and Bruce to say, "HEY, this is the turning point where you, Setsuko, are liable now as a brand risk and you've been called out. You don't want well -known names on the company side to despise you." It's good on the community to point this out. However, forget about any other "what about...", I'm expecting Setsuko to be a complete moron and get himself banned by this time next year. Oh, I just read his tweet from a few days ago. Yeah, he's not taking his own flaws seriously and thinks he can point at other misconduct and call Riot a joke. BR will continue to needle him and he won't be smart enough to brush it off. At least, that's my call. Hope that people with some sense can smack some into him.

I hate the toxic shit at Riot Games. I started in ranked and left cause of toxic people, played ARAM and then ARAM became a real mode = toxic people showed up and I left. Started playing TFT, no one talks in game usually so I was happy and wanted to learn from the pros. Turn on the streams and it's more toxic people screaming, raging and flaming above and beyond. I despise it and this shit needs to stop. It's not entertaining, it's not funny or cool and seeing viewers feed into this is really terrifying. Like wtf kind of people are playing this game? Honestly, he needs a big fine, longer ban and needs to put out an official apology. There's a few channels that aren't toxic that set the example of what this community SHOULD be: BoxBox, Bloody, Frodan.

The part that feels most like "admin on a power trip" is punishing him for *pretending* to type something against the tourney admins back in July. Admins punishing people for not liking admins is classic conflict of interest. Riot's lawyer-ese jargon doesn't say how much weight it had in his punishment, but they made it clear that it affected their decision, and it shouldn't. The other things he said, it's fine to punish him for, but there should be a consistent and public rule. Also, permaban the Chinese wintraders already.

To make it simple, the Setsuko guy is being toxic to Brazilian Players and the Brazilian Players are also being toxic to him. Setsuko is already on the Riot watchlist for toxicity and Riot decided to ban him after surveling his behavior for a while If you don't know Setsuko is a popular player/streamer in TFT community so him being toxic is a bad influence to the TFT community

And on top of that, this idiot wasn't just toxic towards Brazilians, he's toxic AT ALL times, every time he streams he makes some fatphobic or xenophobic comment, the only reason it took so long for him to receive this ban is because he's VERY good at the game , but a terrible person, people will argue that he is only like that on the PC and that in real life he is good, but the point is precisely this, he does this for the PC because he thinks he can get away with it, because he knows that if he does This in real life will get you punched in the face very quickly

I watched part of Setsuko’s stream. He said he wrote an apology letter well thought out to riot before all this and was ignored. He did seem somewhat remorseful but i dont think he apologized to the brazilian community. He mostly said that “anyone would’ve reacted the way he did” when he was under pressure like that and his chat getting flooded. I can sorta feel for him but he needs to suck it up and acknowledge that what he did was wrong and he should stop his chat from being so toxic to the br community because the chat wasn’t nice that stream.
@Oleoay3 ай бұрын
The letter from riot that setsuko posted about the suspension mentioned that he had sent a letter of apology. So it was received. Just because you apologize doesn’t mean you should expect to get off unpunished and this wasn’t the first instance of his behavior.

Try watching the video lol, in the first few seconds he says (paraphrasing a bit) "Setsuko should have been punished, but Riot messed up by not punishing others, creating a culture of whataboutism", which is a totally fair take. Frodan's view seems to be "punish people if they do something wrong, but punish everyone equally". I think most people will agree with this take, it's completely reasonable.
@byakkoz3 ай бұрын
@@toadonwheels Sorry about that, English is neither my first nor my second language, I understand everything perfectly but typing is really a problem to put things in the best way I would like, the intention of my comment was to point out that I commented before watching the video actually expecting it not to be what I was expecting, precisely because I love Frodan and it would make me sad if he supported Setsuko in this kind of thing, I was happy to see some well-intentioned comments but I still think it's sad the view that some people are having comparing so much with other cases that have nothing to do and kind of overshadowing how serious what Setsuko did is. I totally agree with you that the wintrading cases from china SHOULD start being more serious since only fines were applied, but I disagree that everyone should be punished equally, just like crimes have different weights, proplayers mistakes also have different weight, in reality this punishment of Setsuko was WAY too low for the amount of hate he's been spreading for a VERY long time and never seems to care about improving his behavior, and we can all agree that he got away with it for a long time just because he's very good at the game and has a lot of views

@FadedJacket3 ай бұрын
@@toadonwheels Except they don't punish equally. I get they have to start somewhere, but how convenient to start with a competitive player with fame and not the people that were "harassing" him. You should see league lobbies. They are only half as serious about this as they pretend to be. Setsuko just has a spotlight so they chose to make an example of him. Setsuko doesn't matter to me one way or another, but at the end of the day, everything Riot does is PR and financial based. They don't actually care about people, and that has show for many years.
