I'm going to build and Umbris deck and put this and Sludge Monster in it because they're both horrors. I think that deck is a little less oppressive that Toxrill but I still get to play the cool slug boy.

Dj is the first decktech for toxrill iv seen that actually ran a skullclamp. That was the first card i thought of when i saw toxrill cuz it seemed so good

3:50 it's actualy not a good idea because the creature are not gona be '' Kill '' but '' exile '' so there are not gona be any slug create. You can confirm that in Mtg Arena

I would think a Proliferate deck would work well too. You keep adding -1/-1 counters. Also need some ramp if you can find it in B/U.😎

My Toxrill deck is a bit wonky. I have cards that can copy it sure but my main deal is zombies. Because I know zombies the best I have a few zombie creating engines in the deck to ram up and make my opponents waste resources on them, then bring out toxrill once the opponent is slowed down. And pretty much take the win from there. The biggest issue is that this takes quite a bit of time. Other than that I have lots of fun with me zombies and slugs.

Awaken the erstwhile. + something like Narset, Parter of Veils or Notion thief. Deny your oponents board state + deny acces to handcards. What are they gonna do?

How does the deck work as dimir when Toxrill only has mono black for his mana? Is it due to his ability using a blue black mana to sac a slug and draw a card?

Heartless summoning makes Toxrill cost 5 mana and the Sludge monster cost 5 mana, the only downside is that all your creatures get -1/-1 on your side of the board, so draining people out with Blood Artist isn't an option unless you can buff it with something first. but getting your commander or the sludge monster oout 2 turns earlier is worth the -1/-1 downside
