Army men are my kind of thing! If you go to a 2nd hand shop or a yard sale they should have some too. I got a load of army men from an antique shop about 5 years ago, I have all sorts in there including Japanese soldiers!

What I find interesting is that these are knock-offs of match box and airfix figures and I own knock-offs of these figures. Side by side you can see the quality of the figure slowly decreasing

I much prefer the Matchbox/Airfix clones. The new poses have guns that are too big, and the faces are cartoonish. The originals are iconic.

Very nice sets. The Germans could be diverted into german africa corpse with those fieldcaps, and regular german army infantrie. At min 12:43 the left figure seems to wear shorts what means this is an german africa soldier the guy on the right could be a "Gebirgsjäger" Mountain infantrie riflemen. The weapons shown are very simplified i guess to not violate copyrights. Even so thes are toy soldiers to play with, historical accuracy isn't needed.

That's definitely wrong. One of the soldiers is a piper. Bagpipes are distinctly British.

Why would you leave out the British? They were one of the primary forces in the D-Day landings (which were commanded by the US and UK).

That's probably due to the fact that the Russians have been the antagonists in a lot of conflicts since the Cold War, especially recently.
