I tried finding the site that had them but it’s been a while. You can buy dummy ones on eBay, though.

It's nice how you like soldiers based on real life rather then fantasy and sci fi! I've always been in the minority because instead of Warhammer and Zelda, I like army men and history. It would seem that almost every time someone is into collecting figures, it's always the same things, pokemon, Zelda, Warhammer, Dungeons and dragons, manga, magic the gathering, war craft, digimon, Dragon ball Z and Dr who! I like REAL life. Maybe me and you have better taste then the usual crap.

I like all types of soldiers! Even fantasy and syfy! But nothing can beat actual history!

@@theplasticcommander I bet you were one of these kids when you were young who watched the adventures of Jackie Chan instead of Pokemon, because of the history element in it, didn't you? I'm the same, when I was a child I was into all the other things, and not all the popular stuff like Harry Potter and lord of the rings! I'm an old school gamer also, unfortunately when I was 12 in 2001, my dad threw away my 1993 PC and all the games too. I went BERSERK!!!!! I used to play 2 games, challenge of the ancient empires and Prince of Persia times of darkness! They were absolute corkers. boy do I miss my old PC!!!!

@@theplasticcommander Yes, you seem like a really decent dude. You're the sort of man that can take a joke, aren't you? When I get prank called, I enjoy it. I'm silly to them instead!

Two criticisms; 1) You didn't tell us whether the plastic used on these guys is soft or hard or what. Personally I never buy stiff plastic figures like CTS makes. 2) Plastic was developed BEFORE the end of WW2, and as a matter of fact the Nazis themselves turned out some of the first toy soldiers ever seen. They were given out as thank-you tokens to people who contributed to the NSV, the Nazi social-welfare agency. Rich O'Brien has a photo of them in his book "Collecting Foreign-Made Toy Soldiers". These were German Army figures in combat poses.

I did not say at any point plastic wasn’t around before the Second World War. Bergen Novelty Co. in fact created some of the first plastic toy army men ever widely produced in the 1930’s. The popularity of the toy exploded in the fifties during the lead scare and when plastic was becoming more widely used due to the fact it was so much cheaper than other materials. Not to mention I very clearly state the plastic is sturdy and harder than figures created by TSSD while still pertaining the detailing found in them. 5:04 is when I begin speaking about the quality of the material.
