These old Airfix plastics really paint up well …as with all thin parts of plastics the rifle barrel is a bit bent …but you’ve made a good job on him ….great for practice !

That's a great paint work on that Airfix German infantry soldier. The last time I painted any of these I just painted the main colours and I thined down a dark colour for a wash. The flesh was just the one coat with a red brown wash for shades. I haven't painted any for a couple of decades. I used to cut away the base sometimes but never thought to build a detailed base. But this video gives me ideas to paint my 1/35 scale model soldiers I have plenty of. I just haven't collected the plastic soldiers yet. You are expert painter.👍🙂🇭🇲🦘✌️

Good paintwork. One suggestion. German canteens are grey cup on top and brown jug on bottom. And has a black strap.

I had this set as a boy. I never painted them. Great to see one painted up. Brilliant job! Looks very realistic.

Salut ! Merci beaucoup pour ton gentil commentaire. La gamme Airfix est amusante à peindre comme pratique et difficile à maîtriser.

Hey, thanks so much for the kind comment. I go back and forth between this silent style and the voiceover. I’m not really sure if either is better tbh.

Just a question where did you get those armymen at like did you get them from hobby lobby of Amazon cause these look cool
@Jamesviolaofficial Жыл бұрын
I got the German army men from an antique store. I think it was $10 for 11 of them? But I found them on Amazon too there’s a link in the description 💪

What brushes do you use 🤔
@Jamesviolaofficial4 ай бұрын
I use a mix of Kolinsky sable hair and synthetic brushes. I started out practicing with synthetic because they’re a few bucks each at Hobby Lobby. The sable hair brushes start at $15 each and will last a lot longer with proper cleaning and care.
