The Toy Dolls' chart-busting version of the popular childrens' song. All together now: oooooooooooooooooooooOOOOOOOOOOOO!
This video is a celebration of the north of England's most famous punk rock outfit. We're Mad captures the band at their best. Not so much a set of songs as a series of short stories. Packed full of witty lyrics and mad machine-gun guitar licks

"mad as a box of frogs" this is a new expression to me. I can envision how appropriate it is, when all those slimy things are crawling on top of each other. Well done. Permission to use the expression again and again and again and again for the rest of my life. Cheers. Also reminds me of the DUKES OF STRATOSPHERE "Have you seen Jackie? He's a strange strange strange little girl Make up on his face and his hair in curls Have you seen Jackie? She's a strange strange strange little boy Her long black beard is her pride and joy And all the children follow him around And all the grownups try to drag her down So we sing Hey, leave Jackie alone Hey, his pigeons have flown Hey, she's never at home at all these days Leave Jackie alone . . .

Imagine the year 95, in the Red Crown, karaoke, I slip the paper to the bloke, he looked, then looked at me and said "nah mate" -- I said put it on and I will fucking rule this -- he nodded. The night goes on -- an hour later the place is heaving and I get called, people are drinking, laughing, enjoying life. I walk on under strong lights, the hazy blue name of the song pops up on the projector behind me. I look at him and said go --- that song made everyone stop and look, and there is I, like a strange looking Micheal Caine (without the glasses) the whole pub, every single person starts going mad, jumping up and down to the chorus - instantly turning the place in to a mosh it -- everyone singing load and clear. Cars were slowing, passing busses with travellers pressed up to the windows watched as a pissedheads go completely ape. That night I was standing tall, shaking hands after, beer was passed and people shook my hand and slapped my back. Fucking Cracking, thanks lads - Toy Dolls forever ~trooper

Abso bloody lutely mate. It was 29th Sept 1984 I got married. This was on our playlist for the evening reception. Friends & family still talk about the elephant-esque conga we fashioned on the spur of the moment amongst 200 odd guests, old and young. Happy times. Very happy times.
