Nice! I wish the nearest Ikea wasn't like 4 hours away from me, haha... I still have several though. Hey, one alternative set-up is to utilize a backdrop in your Detolf. i.e. line the back of the display with an appropriately themed poster or simple black poster board, etc... Then you can easily hide all wiring behind that.
@slapshottoys49896 жыл бұрын

Actually I picked up a set of IKEA Ledberg (these small circle ones visible on 3:03 ) . Works fine but I have to redesign the "cable menagement" . It looks similar to yours but I have to find some clear zipties. My problem was far more different - IKEA stopped making a third color variant (wooden), but I was lucky to get 2 used ones from my friend.

Awesome video! Getting a Hulkbuster soon. Its on Pre-Ordered. As a noob collector, I’ve been watching videos about how thin the Detolf original shelves glasses that it comes with. Getting some thick glass or acrylic cuts as soon as my Hulkbuster ship home. Question: I was looking at some miniature car’s puffier unit. About the size of a cigarette lighter charger. You ever thought of it as a good idea to installed one inside the display cabinet as a dust proof mechanism? :-)

Hey man great video, I duplicated your setup but I ran into an issue with my commercial electric lights, I picked up the white + color RGB one with the remote for an extra $10, and while almost identical, it only ships with the 2 long cables and 1 super short cable with no splitter/medium cable, so buyers may want to double check the contents of the light strips they pick up. I'm guessing you can't split the RGBW version, fortunately, they do sell extra wiring harness kits for $6 to add more different types of interconnecting wire harnesses.

No, there not are not facing the same way. I ran into the same problem just got done installing mine. I had to rewatch and pause through out the video just to make sure again. Awesome video but definitely should had walked you through the part when putting the 3mm lighting strips individually 1 by one would had saved me alot time.

@@jackierodriguez7279 Thanks! Will do the same. I will stop and play several times to make sure I get it right. I have 10 cabinets to light up.
@alonbass49994 жыл бұрын
One thing I did do differently was I drilled a one inch circle at the base, so the wire runs underneath the cabinet and not around the front. Also used a cap(you would see on a desk) to cover the hole. Turned out great.

@@alonbass4999 Wow! Thats alot of cabinets lol. I'm sure it will look Awesome once there all done! I had to pause and go little by little but in the end it was worth it. Would you say that those lights are overly blue or yellow? I just got some of the light strips from IKEA and I don't really like how yellow they are. I want something kinda in the middle between cool white and warm. Any suggestions?
