Great video, I just bought one last week put it together and was able to engrave on their samples with ease, never operated or owned a laser before, I have to say I was impressed with myself and not at all intimidated with operating this little laser. I am now in the process of building a enclosure with ventilation for the little laser. The price was in my budget and a way to get my foot in the door to the laser world. Thanks for the video.

Great video. Thanks for trying it out. One of those machines I'd like but can't think of/justify a regular use for.

One thing I would advise you to do is remove one of the tightening screws on the height adjustment. This insures the dovetail seats better so the laser module remains vertical. I had a problem to start with in that regard. The LaserMaster 2Pro is definitely a tool. I work mine quite a bit and enjoy every minute of it.

Rule of thumb I've always heard is 80% power max to extend the life of the diode.

I need a lazer that can at least cut 3mm mild steel.

Hmmm I think we could be onto something big here Richard. I know that I could use a hammer with a saw, call it the sawmmer? Hehe

Yea as makers its second nature to make or remake tool for multipurpose applications. Maby you remember bashing me for making a laser engraver out of an old printer.
