Toy Soldier Amusement Crane Claw Machine by WMH/Paokai

This is my newest machine, Toy Soldier!
It needed the board replaced because it had a fault related to the claw, I took a look at it but it appears the previous tech tried to fix it and messed it up more. I ended up buying a brand new one for it.
The supercard was actually sitting in the bottom of the machine loose when I bought it so I decided to install it back the way it's supposed to be.

In our huge grocery store, there is a telephone (basically the same WMH-288, as the toy soldier) claw machine in horrible condition. My dad works doing repair of the arcade machines, but mostly cranes. He told me they said "crane not working". That's it. That's all they said. The crane was erroring out, I don't remember the code. Probably E6, E8 or E9. Anyways he fixed the machine, and noticed: no matter how strong the claw is set, it always closes at about 40% power (About 25 volts). Turned out, that strength potentiometer is stuck at 40% position, and the knob spins independently to the potentiometer itself.

Woah, nice buy. You don't see alot of claw machines with that Super Card feature nowadays. Quick question, is the super card riggable using a payout system (in a sense that it can be rigged like a stacker payout in which it purposely misses the spot even If the player timed it right)?

Yeah it does purposely miss the spot when it's not ready to win. Basically it's just a randomiser system, you put in how often you want people to win out of 100 games and it basically rolls a dice.

Also, ine thing you probably didn't know, he used an arduino to make the sidelights look like the original Edit: he actually set the speed of the flasher, not using an arduino.

The LED strip came with a flasher, I set that to the correct duration and speed to make it look original

Does it keep grabbing strong until the sensor is set off on the payout?

Depends on the settings. By default, it only stays strong for 1 try and then goes back to weak. You can either have it count up from 0 to whatever you set it to, or you can have it randomise it. On software versions made in 2007 or newer (I've upgraded all my machines to the latest version) there's an option to have it stay strong until the sensor detects a prize payout. The newer versions also have an option to delay the next payout if a prize is won earlier than expected or it will shorten the amount of games till payout if a prize is won later than expected.

There's also a dipswitch setting to choose whether you want payout strength to be either just VR1 or max 48v

You first flip dipsw 2 pin 7 to ON, after restarting the machine it enters into "Inner value adjustment mode" values are set on the credit display using the joystick and button.
