In the video I didn't clearly show what's going on with the plastic container. I bought this new because the old one couldn't be restored. It was just too badly damaged

That kind of revolver is meant for small candies like runts. The one for gum balls have round holes and 3 springs like 22 degrees facing up to revolve well the gum balls. But I loved the video, brought me memories when I had like 100 of those !! 😅

I think this man learned on his own . It just like anything u do the same way it us taken a part is the same way he puts it back together. Just some people won't take the time or put in the work like he does. And if someone did show him very good Teacher. But that's alot of money going in to that . I have one from the 1950 it glass and metal doesn't work but just to pay this man probably would be more then $200 I would think

It's easier than you think... I think. I've been able to reassemble my ps4 pro after a full teardown for cleaning. The hard part is figuring out how it all comes apart sometimes. Oh and screws I sometimes hate screws.

Although I am from a different country, I remember a gumball pulling machine that feels similar to putting coins in and pulling out beads-shaped gum when I was young, so I reminisce about the past for a while. A perfect restoration. I love that you completely stripped the piece down and meticulously cleaned, straightened, polished etc. every part. Some restorers don’t do that, but to me it is essential. Beautifully done!

I believe this is a Brabo machine (Belgian, made in ANtwerp, named after the famous Brabo legend). This machine is from the 70's, on later models plastic was more used instead of metal for some parts. The "screw"on top was originally a lock screw, so you could only unscrew it with a key.These machined used to be in supermarkets. I have the quad version of it, on a stand. Nice restauration !

@@MWRestoration thank you. In fact, it is a child trauma :) My mum never allowed me nor my siblings any of those chewing gums or little toys, so when I was around 45 (I’m born in 1973), I bought a quadruple machine to make up for that trauma :) Sadly my mum had passed away already by then.

That's a fantastic job of restoration you did on the machine, especially with the red paint! It brings back memories for me! Practically every week for 20 years I was doing something like this - usually just cleaning them. I had a Vending Machine route of similar machines, Norwest Model 60, with either the same plastic globe or a glass globe. My machines had a removable product chute on them, and on top was a keylock rather than the more basic screw lock top you designed, that's what the ridges inside the top cover lock depression are for.

Moin 👋 Es freut mich sehr dass die das Video gefallen hat 😊. Das Verfahren nennt sich Pulverbeschichtung. Vor dem einbrennen hat der Lack eine Pulverkonsistenz. Die Pistole ladet das Pulver elektrisch auf und deswegen haftet es dann auf dem Werkstück auf. Damit das Pulver hart und robust fähig wird muss man es einbrennen. Wie lange ein Werkstück eingebrannt wird und bei welcher Temperatur , hängt sehr stark vom Pulver und Werkstück aus. Eine allgemeine Faustregel für die Temperatur ist von 170 bis 200 grad. Wie ich bereits geschrieben habe hängt das vom Pulver ab. Die Dauer bei kleinen Werkstücken beträgt ungefähr von 10-20 Minuten einbrennzeit. Bei mir im Video wurden die Werkstücke bei 180° für 20 Minuten eingebrannt. Ich habe auch einen Hochglanzpulverlack benutzt in der Farbe Rot „Candy“ Es gibt verschiedene Pulverlacke. Matt, Hochglanz, Glanz, Strukturlack, seidenglanz, Chrom und vieles mehr

Diese Automaten kenne ich noch aus meiner Kindheit und hingen fast an jedem Geschäft draußen an der Wand. Die Schäden deuten auf zwei Klassiker hin, die bei diesen Automaten leider immer aufgetreten sind und das dürfte dann auch der Grund für deren Entfernung gewesen sein. Zum einen wurde gerne versucht mit einem Feuerzeug den Plastikbehälter zum Schmelzen zu bringen, was in der Regel aber nicht funktioniert hat. Zum anderen wurden die Automaten vor allem an Silvester gerne gesprengt, soll heißen, man hat einen China-Böller hineingestreckt. Je nachdem welche Art von Böllern man benutzt hat, passierte entweder nicht viel, oder das Ding flog komplett auseinander.
