A very old and broken gumball machine restoartion. I bought the gumball machine on ebay for 15€. The machine stood for years by the sea on the North Sea in Germany. The plastic container was burned. The color was already chipping.
I have restored the complete gumball machine. Even the smallest parts have been machined. What I have done. Metal parts powder-coated, ground, filled, polished, machined on the lathe, nickel-plated. Parts that were missing were made new. It was a lot of work to recreate the gumball machine. But it was worth it, the result looks fantastic.

That kind of revolver is meant for small candies like runts. The one for gum balls have round holes and 3 springs like 22 degrees facing up to revolve well the gum balls. But I loved the video, brought me memories when I had like 100 of those !! 😅

Just some people won't take the time or put in the work like he does. And if someone did show him very good Teacher. But that's alot of money going in to that . I believe this is a Brabo machine (Belgian, made in ANtwerp, named after the famous Brabo legend). This machine is from the 70's, on later models plastic was more used instead of metal for some parts. The "screw"on top was originally a lock screw, so you could only unscrew it with a key. These machined used to be in supermarkets. I have the quad version of it, on a stand. Nice restauration !

That's a fantastic job of restoration you did on the machine, especially with the red paint! It brings back memories for me! Practically every week for 20 years I was doing something like this - usually just cleaning them. I had a Vending Machine route of similar machines, Norwest Model 60, with either the same plastic globe or a glass globe. My machines had a removable product chute on them, and on top was a keylock rather than the more basic screw lock top you designed, that's what the ridges inside the top cover lock depression are for.

Legitimately looks better than brand new. You can either use a coin to pay or use it to unscrew the top and get them all.
