Toy Spot - DC Collectibles DC Icons Deluxe Batgirl Figure

I really like Batgirl's modern outfit. Cameron Stewart and Babs Tarr wanted to create a different outfit for Batgirl which I think worked out quiet nicely. As a result, Batgirl was given the look of a superherp and someone who can be playful and relaxed as well. I like this deluxe figure quiet a bit. I also like the bike with its metallic purple which looks even better when displayed on the base. The effect that's underneath the tires looks really cool. The figure is small coming in at 5.75 inches but at the same time, Batgirl is a small stature character anyway (5 feet 4 inches). She looks really good when she's posed on her bike. Sure, the cape could've been pegged a little bit better but it still does a good job of giving the figure a sense of motion to go along with the flowing hair. DC Collectibles could've easily just given Batgirl a bike with a kickstand and no display base. Instead, they went the extra mile by including the cool looking base. As a whole I like this deluxe Batgirl. Its not that expensive considering that the figure itself would've costed $25 as well as for the bike. Of course, you take into consideration the included base so a whole I don't think that its badly priced. I would love to pick this one up. Thanks Spot!

Barbara Gordon Batgirl is my favorite superhero and at first I didn’t care for her newer costume but I’ve acclimated to it and I like it now, a lot. Still prefer the classic black and yellow though.

It's a shame that her outfit doesn't match the sparkling purple of her bike and the outfit colour she had in the '66 series, this one being a rather matte blue.

If they had made this figure in DC Collectibles' more standard 6.75" scale I would have gotten her for sure, but I don't collect the Icons line.

So what if she were based on a real person whose natural skin tone didn’t have enough “umpff”? Not everyone has pasty white skin like the Joker.

2 closed fists for fighting, 2 gripping hand to hold the bike handles and 2 open hands to hold her accessories. Doesn't really seem like too many to me.

not a fan of the costume design for batgirl.. the more classic color of black and a costume style that looks less like weird.. it doesn't say "super hero costume " to me

I can always rely on you to be as critical as I am of items! Those off colour cuffs would annoy me & I agree the eyebrows should be darker, I think her expression is bland, she needs to be cheekier. I will probably give this a miss & look for TN 52 Batgirl statue instead.
