I think kids would be more into toys if there were more at that scale as well. When I was a kid ...in the 80s... I preferred the smaller scale because the line usually had vehicles and playsets to interact with. Might be something toy companies want to consider before going out of business.

I agree entirely, I used to be huge into the black series when I first started collecting. But as time went on I noticed the quality, the accessories, paint, articulation, price, etc. just weren’t adding up to me. Good to know we can get some money back though lol

The vintage collection rocks!! The prices are still terrible, but thats a problem that is universal across all of Hasbro's lines.

Its not just talking SW figs, SW Hot Toys, etc...7 in NECA Predator, Aliens, etc figs are $35 plus tax/ship. Years ago I was collecting them when they were $20. I've bought 1 in the 5 last yrs. I noticed at WM there was a NECA GI Joe 7 in fig for $55. Who is buying a NECA 7 in fig for $60??? Listening to some of the statue videos some people are paying $500 just for shipping. In the past couple yrs I've only bought a quarter of what I use to for sw figs. Windowless figs for SW, NECA, etc are a easy pass for me. I would be fine if I never bought another collectible. I'm happy w/my collection but this hobby isnt fun when I'm asked to pay unreasonable prices. I enjoyed your video. Keep up the hard work.

I got out a couple of years ago. SH Figuarts Star Wars all the way. More expensive? Yes. Buyer's remorse? Not yet. I do like some of Hasbro's retro collection, which goes well with my Kenner collection. Stay focused, and you can't go wrong. Good PSA!

I'm happy with my Black Series collection because I barely buy any. OT is my main focus & since hasbro barely makes any of those characters, I guess I save money & frustration 😊 I couldn't give a rat's ass about any of the Disney Star Wars. If there's a BS figure I want, it's just a little bonus to my collecting

Resale value and scale are never on the minds of some of theses toy companies. The toy designers are probably on something when they're "designing" what ever. Quantity over quality and spew the bs to make it sell. Wise man say. Collect what you love, but don't go in poor house over Sh*tty toys.

I'm doing the same thing. I just started organizing my black series into a database to get ready to start selling. I'm done being frustrated. I'm out. I've slowly started transitioning into Hot Toys

I have or had a lot of Empire/Sith figs. I sold my Sith figs and going thru my Imperial/Empire figs too. And maybe some clones need to depart. Phil you did make a good choice. You're happy and still a collector of SW. 🙂

Hasbro thinking they are as hot still as these better newer 3rd party companies so they think they can give us less for more. Accessories downgraded, Transformers smaller than just a handful of years ago. Sorry Hasbeen, out with the old in with the new. Good video, Mr. Yukon!

I started collecting last year and I am enjoying buying what I like gradually I wouldn't buy anything for the sake of it . Grevious is a poor figure. The haslab retro collections are pointless. If you find no joy then you are burnt out I find joy gradually building my collection
