@@dennisdempseyradiooutofcontrol Ive seen people do it with twin cylinder nitros, it gives it a great sound. I was actually going to comment the same thing and ask you to compound it haha. It might actually make a fraction of boost that way too as it is way more efficient than twin turbos and allows less bypass as they're in series and add their output together as opposed to putting out the same output with less workload. Honestly it'd be really awesome to see, you already earned my sub with this video, if you get bored or just want to tinker please give it a shot. Another option would be throwing a nitro engine supercharger on it like warped perception did(They actually make good boost to the point of blowing apart the intake piping with twin blowers) but instead of doing twin blowers do twin turbos compounded into a single blower like guys do with the hellcats, You would absolutely have the most badass sounding toyan engine! hell you could probably set up a little dumpvalve, that would be so darn cool in an rc car/truck or better yet tank haha.

Use a large expansion tube before turbo with a bottle neck at the turbo. Will have lag but will help with the pressure needed to spin it faster, almost like a pre chamber.

You should try this with the turbokeychains TK10-R, they’re sealed with o rings so you shouldn’t get blowby out of the compressor and they’re rated for 80,000 rpm, really curious if that turbo would actually make boost because it’s about as close to the real thing as you can get right now

to make those keychains work, get HDD small ball bearings, custom made lathe or cnc impellers, with tight tolerances they will produce positive pressure... or for a big single turbo, get the smallest RC plane turbine u can get, and convert it to a turbocharger, might involve sculpting and casting the housing

I would measure the total volume of all 4 cylinders and my goal would be to double it. As if 14lbs of actual boost on a standard engine will argumentatively double the existing hp. Your only nemesis would be knowing how much compression these piston seals can withhold. (COULD) it compress twice the air volume? (AND) is the spark hot enough to ignite air that is more dense bcs that increases the moisture content. A good bench test would be having a SET & REGULATED air pressure supply that can be force fed into the air intake at full throttle and see if the engine can compress the air and respond well. If each cylinder is let’s say.... 5 cubic millimeters then we would have 20 millimeters total cylinder capacity. Double that to 40 millimeters of cubic air space force feed at full throttle. You should also double your gas for this bench test as a corner stone to see if the motor can actually compress the extra air and also ignite it. There are also factors on the octane content bcs we don’t know if it will pre ignite under the xtra pressure. There’s other factors that can be bench tested too but I’ll stop here and let someone else fill in their thoughts.

Casey Moore was right by suggesting you need to be under load. This is why... . Like a standard engine will not make boost in neutral bcs the air coming in to the air intake is going out the exhaust at the same rate. It’s got to be under load bcs that load slows down the piston travel speed (rpm) causing the air rushing in to slowly start to get backed up and it’ll build pressure. That time delay is called turbo lag. No resistance, no turbo lag, no boos build up.

I'm no expert but the filter is meant to be on the compressor wheel side, then turbine wheel to exhaust gas inlet then out to exhaust system.

Do you think the turbos would be better if the motor was under load? I think that's how a friend of mine gets his car to spool up, has to give it gas in gear with the brakes on, wont spool the same in neutral. I dont know but I admire your work and thought that might be something to try. Looks awesome by the way. Also might be a way to metal 3d print some different impellers to get to spool up at various rpm ranges?

Tolerances are already tight on a full size turbo, with some good machine work you could probably build some boost. Unfortunately you'd need tunability or it's just gonna lean out and break up, well, maybe not with just a pound or two.

It would have to be millibars or something super precise bcs a normal boost gauge won’t budge until it comes out of vacuum and it has to at least be 3/4 of a lbs to see it budge and I would imagine these turbos might not even move one square inch of air.

I have seen the rotory motor for rc 1/10 scale and they are identical to the 13B, with real working turbos. They drag race them, they are really powerful 2WD with import body's

Is that T-Maxx tank help with the lower outlet vs the top ones?. I would imagine gravity is much grater at the bottom allowing fuel assist much easier then the engine trying to sip out the fuel out the top of tanks. Let me know if you noticed any difference. Cool sound and it idles great. Awesome looking too.

how did you make your Y pipe? if you have a 3d printer you could cast one out of aluminum pretty easily using the lost pla method it acts just like wax when hot. put the pla mold with a riser and vent in some plaster of paris in a soup can let it dry a few days then bake out the pla you melt some scrap aluminum casting chunks with a weed burner and a steel pot

Have it so the intake doesn't suck in anything if it breaks. Looks good, Sure you could spend some money and make it work. I wanted to pick one up, but didn't realize it was so small. 1hp is not bad though. I hope the new twin cam is a little bigger. I would like to see one in a jetboat. Keep up the great work!
