I really like the Viking He-Man, but I loooove the Barbarian Skeletor, though I don't have him in the stock configuration, I did also take the shoulder armor/cape off and give him the more classic head, but yes, that makes for a very vintage-inspired Skeletor, and it'll replace the Revelation one as my primary Skeletor.

The extra normal looking Skeletor head actually looks quite good on the revelations Skeletor so I’ve swapped that one out to have a more original looking skeletor and kept the Barbarian look for this figure when I display them.

Thanks for your comment. I just received the Revelation version though I had ordered the Barbarian version. (Amazon screwed me.) I may keep it now, even though I paid $16 more for it than they are currently charging for Revelation version. I went to BBTS to order a Barbarian Skeletor after receiving the wrong one from Amazon since I know BBTS won't screw it up.

These versions of He-Man and Skeletor remind me of one of my favorite games/toys from childhood: Crossbows and Catapults. In that two player game, one player was the vikings and the other player was the barbarians. You made walls out of loosely fitting bricks to protect your castle, then use the crossbows and catapults to shoot pucks at each other's walls and castles trying to knock them over. That game was awesome and easy to play and understand.

I gorilla glued the cape armor to the skeleton armor. While I can't remove it anymore it looks worlds better!

I cancelled my order for the He-Man a while back, but the Skeletor is cool. That cape and the heads are going in a parts drawer, though, likely never to be used again. I modded a classics head for my Revelations Skeletor a while back and I’ll just use that.

Good reviews. I like both figures as "upgrades" to the Revelation versions, but it's almost like Mattel are going the same route as Hasbro does with Luke Skywalker with He-Man, they aren't going to give us a Headscuplt we are happy with while they can sell us a newer version down the line.......I'm not cool with that.

Ya but Neither of These He-Men are Based on the Classic He-Man and are they're own interpretations. Think of them like different Artists renderings. Jim Lee Superman looks Different then say Curt Swan or Dan Jurgens' Right yet you wouldn't want to try to Change a Dan Jugens Superman action Figure into a Jim Lee one would you?

I really like these figures. They're not perfect, but I love how each has a new fresh look, but can also be adapted into a pseudo-classic appearance while still coming in at a standard price point. I feel Masterverse has turned a corner of sorts with these and King Grayskull. I'm definitely looking forward to more New Eternia.

does skeletor have the same body as heman? from pics his legs look skinnier and his arms waaaay longer. I just got the revolution heman and in hand it's so much cooler than weird pics. Idk if it's the same here.

I love the helmeted barbarian head, but I also don't consider it He-Man, just a barbarian or old version of a different He-Man. That alt head, I'm using it for a custom, looks nothing like He-Man.

Great review Toy Bro! These look really cool as alternate versions of those 2. One thing I dislike though is how He-Man doesn't have 2 fists? I feel like the open hands might be an homage to the original figures but if they're going the route of extra hands then they shoul d definitely have matching sets of open & fists. Does anyone know how the balljoint in the torso is connected? I would love to take it a part and fix the ab crunch but not sure if it can pull apart with heat or if I need to crack it open? Love the new Power Sword though.

They definitely needed paint, and turned out quite well as a novice I must say. Painted the shoulder pads, the belts, skeletors staff and he-man,s axe, and also skeletors nails and the armor studs. Thanks for this review , love the skeletor figure and is easily the best skeletor since classics.

Good review and solid figures. The He-Man head sculpts are a bit "off" because the cheeks are too plump. It looks like he has botox or something. The second head looks like the Quaker Oats Man. The cheeks are just too fat.

Wasn’t overly impressed with He-man, you can custom a much better look from combining faker and berserker he-man. But skeletor… man, despite his faults that’s my classics skeletor for life. Hopefully Hordak has similar presence

I completely disagree this time. I get what you say but I have absolutely no problem with the extra armor just sitting on Skeletor, just put some tape on it, problem solve. Yeah it should be tighter from desing, I get it, but It displays great and it wont fall in the shelves at all. Not perfect but not an issue either. And also I think Heman's second head is actually very good! I heard a lot of comments people not liking it, I still can't see why you guys don't like it lol, but oh well, we are all entitle to our opinions. Great job and keep em coming.

It just comes across as an afterthought on Mattel's part, to me. Not worth skipping the figure for, obviously, its just a weird implementation.

I agree with you on the Skeletor front. Most if not all collectors will display it and forgot it. We aren’t shaking the figures lol not to mention I think the added armor looks amazing. With both He-Man and Skeletor we are getting multiple figures in terms of how we can display them. Which I like a lot and pushes me to purchase two of them as too display them with both looks. Edit: do enjoy coming here one of my top 5 reviewers on YT.

I like both of these figs, did NOT like the original Materverse versions. All these figures need better paint aps but if one is so inclined & has the ability, paint em up & improve these suckers ;)

I own both figures and feel you are nitpicky with the he-man. I don't like the original skeletor head but I prefer the body over this body. I put the hooded head on the original skeletor and liked it a lot better.
