Imaginext figures are my newest obsession! My first was a Hawkman I found in a grab bag from a thrift store. I since have collected a dozen or so, including Ninja Batman, both Wonder Twins, Bane, Duke Thomas and Catman. Catman! The gem of the bunch is the Dr Fate figure though. It is a perfectly executed as a 4$ figure can be. From the sculpt to the color contrast, it is one of the coolest under 10$ figures I have.

I had an Optimus Prime on the wall since 2013 and I thought it was the one you had. I took it down to review and the glue holding the clamshell on was gone so it fell apart when I removed it from the wall. Since it was apart, I had to transform it at least once. The line is just called Transformers and I have Optimus and Starscream. I bought them because they looked like their G1 versions just smaller, they're about the size of matchbox cars.

Kind of random question, but this seems like as good a place as any to ask: Are there any quality, realistic-looking astronaut figures at the 3 & 3/4” scale? It doesn’t have to look exactly like a NASA spacesuit, but just not too futuristic or over the top. I’m building this giant, highly-detailed, realistic-ish spaceship out of sheet metal (I used to be an HVAC guy who worked with a lot of sheet metal), metal barrels, and miscellaneous pieces of plastics toy vehicles and playsets. It even has a rotating centrifuge chamber like in 2001: A Space Odyssey! It’s awesome, but it needs some astronauts! I’ve looked all over eBay and the rest of the interwebs, but haven’t found much... 😔👨‍🚀

There is a sub-line of Lanard’s Corps! series called “Star Force” that are pretty cool. The vintage versions (o-ring style) were probably a bit more sci-fi looking than you want, but the more recent figures (t-crotch style) were more realistic with better detailing, and not too hard to find on ebay. check out this article for info: mastercollector.com/articles/reviews/starfrc-review.html

Look up "planet green valley". They have stuff coming soon. Acid rain also has two astronaut looking figures. One is called the prisoner and the other scientist... The only difference is colour as what the head looks like.

Gappasaurus - Thanks! That’s exactly what I was looking for! Yeah, I’ve seen the Lanard space line on eBay, but I hadn’t seen the more modern, realistic, high-quality astronaut figures. These would look really great with some paint touch-ups. The only problem is that after getting your reply, I looked on eBay again, and it looks like the only way to get one of these particular figures is to buy a smallish vehicle for $40-50 (I couldn’t find any of the good astronaut figures by themselves). But the vehicles are really cool too, so probably worth it! So glad you let me know about these! Thanks again! 🙏 🚀👨‍🚀

Nice Arbalest. Full Metal Panic is maybe my favorite anime. I recommend checking it out if you get a chance. There’s 3 sequels as well - FMP Fumoffu (all comedy/doesn’t progress the story so you could skip), FMP The Second Raid and FMP Invisible Victory.

Is it just me, but aren't the Micro Machine vehicles perfect for being 1/18 scale or 1/12 scale models for dioramas? And to open the RoboCop back, you have to push up from the bottom of the firing mechanism and it was used for the flash stripped firing caps (you know, the flat pieces of paper that had the powder in them, where it was red in color?).

I couldn't find where Valaverse are going to manufacture Action Force. If it's China, I'm out. A multitude of action figure Kickstarters went with China for the manufacturing. They are all still waiting on product. Recently the Larry Hama figure team had to go and physically take the dies from the factory in order to move the project forward. Like I said, I don't know where they are producing their figures but, as always, backer beware.
