Love it! I had a 1500cc '69 Mk 1 truck. Loved the column shift - gave me a lot of happy miles on the gravel roads of South Africa until I sold it. Enjoy!

Beauty car, we had a '72 Corona, drove it for 30,000 miles, died by deer at 167thou., very sad, love these old toyotas, easy to work on, dependable (at least in my experience and I've had several Tercels and a Carona wagon), these cars need saving, not crushing. The '72 was one of the most dependable cars I've ever driven, and I liked the lines, regular maintenance was easy, back when things were simpler. That is a fine example imho :)

Nice car. Some interesting cars were coming out of Japan in the late 1960's. We had a Skyline Prince which was a fun car to drive then.

Must be fun driving one of these amongst today's traffic in Tokyo ( I assume this was done there). Column shift can be a nightmare mind.

My father had one for about 8 years and I had mine for almost 20. The dependable, reliable ugly duckling. Lovely to drive, with ample power (for the time) and an excellent gear box and clutch. Main problem was the four huge drum brakes which tended to grab violently. They were so easy to work on too, all of the front body work just unbolted giving you direct access to the front of the motor and timing cogs. Mine cracked it's cast iron head through overheating, the water hose having been cut by the intake horn on the air filter, which had rotated slowly as it wasn't on tight enough. I got the head welded (brazed?) up and they told me to sell the car quickly. Car finally died after travelling a further 200,000 miles. I wish I had her back. :0(
I like this Model....it Looks like a Lancia from the Same TIME. DOMO ARIGATO!!!!!
