With help from tech support (thanks Cliff!) I purchased just the power plugs/adapter and used it for a dash cam I already had. My camera uses 12 volts so I snipped the USB adapter PCB and connected my camera's power wires directly to the power plugs/adapter thingie carefully observing correct polarity. The video made the install look simple and it was. My dash cam install looks clean and is barely noticeable. Thanks Trail Grid Pro!

@@TrailGridPro I'm really curious what gives here, in the video and in your reply to this comment you're saying this adapter provides always-on power, and will enable 24/7 parking mode. However, I just came back inside from doing this install in my '21 SR5 Premium, 10-pin adapter, and guess what? Power is ACC only, like I figured it was, since the auto-dim mirror light isn't on until you've "keyed on" (accessory mode, for keyless models). I went ahead and paid to look at Toyota's wiring diagrams, figuring this wasn't a difference across trim levels, and I'm right - this auto-dim rearview that we're tapping into with this adapter has always been ACC on/Engine on, just like the cigarette lighters in the vehicle. Very disappointed to have purchased this and done this job based on your video and comments only to find I indeed do not have parking mode. Does your Cobra have a battery that gets charged when power is supplied to the camera, and maybe that's why you have parking mode? Not the case for my Garmin.

This depends on the trim level of your 4Runner. Some trim levels have the plug accessible just behind the mirror, but others require the overhead console to come down in order to access the necessary factory plugs!
