Love the color. Will be keeping my CU Later Gray 23 Supra. I put a verus engineering rear high wing and rear diffuser, had the exhaust tips powder coated black and put carbon fiber side skirts and front lip. Added an aftermarket catted downpipe for throatier sound and carbon fiber interior trim pieces. Went a month ago to NASA high performance driving event provided by Toyota at Mid Ohio raceway and it was a phenomenal driving experience. Highly recommend this car to anyone.

Just bought one, three weeks ago and already had much of the car PPFed. The seats are amazingly adjustable and sport mode makes the engine and transmission come alive. Of course, during the break-in period, I will not exceed 100 mph or 4500 rpm for 1200 miles. Currently I have 440 miles on the odometer. Really, it's tough not to drive this car every day. Around here, every fourth vehicle is a Tesla, so it's very refreshing to drive a car that really stands out.

The LC500 is not only a gas hog, but it is not nearly as fun to drive as the 1000-lb lighter Supra. If you like cruising along on long trips, the LC is fine.

I can't wait to have a supra when it doesn't have a BMW engine, a front that isn't so extra, and not feel claustrophobic inside. The color is on point tho.

@TRDJon Oh I'm sure it is but why is there not a LT1 in a mustang? A 392 in the corvette? A 5.0 in a challenger? It's a cop out with the most important thing of a car in their most iconic sports car. Even as a Toyota fanboy I will never be a simp for them. A reworked JZ would've been amazing... hell everything they put out now has turbos/hybrids for good reason.

I thought the same until I got a Supra mt last year and the BMW engine is a beast. Research and you will find it is one of the best 6 cylinder motors out there. Would be nice if all Toyota but it is what it is. Saved a lot of money for Toyota for such a low production car. I heard Toyota shared some technology with BMW to do this.

@bobb.7899 I hear ya I've seen plenty of dynos that they do underrate this engine. Remember tho that toyota/lexus have a myriad of vehicles they could've put a well developed but detuned engine into... its kinda their MO anyway which is why I don't buy the low production excuse.

@TRDJon sorry, but the issue remains, so it is still relevant. Toyota only makes only a sports car, and that is the GR corolla. Only positive to the rebadged BMW is that it had to be up to Toyota standards. During the development of the new "supra" they had to have bmw redesign things that were not up to par with Toyota's standards.

@TRDJon Toyota could make an awesome two sports car all on their own. They could bring back old name plates. The fact of the matter is they had over 20+ years to do a new supra right and design it themselves, but instead, they outsourced it to a german car manufacturer, which the grand majority of the toyota community doesn't like. Might have something to do with that "german reliability". The polar opposite of Japanese reliability

They still haven't figured it out yet about the Supra, the reason it failed in the first place was the Rounded off look it had to it and the ridiculous Whale Tail, Orange does not suite that rounded off design (at all), another "major" flop coming down the pike. This is North America not Asia Toyota, get with program and build a North American designed Supra like it once was in the 80's (best selling as well), you can do "much better" than this with the design team you have.The interior is stunning though I must say, very well designed. My personal views.

@@TRDJon well, to begin with my comment wasn’t a joke, it was, in fact, a correct statement. It’s a BMW power train, the chassis is BMW, it's built in an Austrian plant alongside the Z4, and there's a BMW emblem on the VIN tag (I’m ASSUMING the new tag does as well). So, for all intents and purposes, it’s a Bimmer. More Bimmer than Yota. At least more critical parts are Bimmer than Yota. I find it quite amusing how both Yota and Bimmer fans get offended when someone says the Supra is a BMW or the Supra is a Toyota. It doesn’t really matter. Car manufacturers have done this quite a few times with specific vehicles and parts. Only negative I see with the Supra is it’s most likely not going to have the longevity of Toyota products even if it’s not clapped out by it’s owner and driven carefully like SOME 85 year olds drive. Lol some drive worse than Richard petty did. The Supra is still a beautiful car nonetheless. I prefer the older ones personally, but to each their own.
