I believe the Aristo is a Toyota badged Lexus GS300, and that 3.0 litre in line six cylinder is a gem of an engine. Toyota/Lexus are absolute automotive masterpieces of Japanese engineering. Beautiful car, lucky you.

Thank you 🙏🏼 The GS300 is actually a rebadged Aristo, as the Aristo came out two years prior to the GS. They are amazing cars, I have little to no complaints. One being they didn’t come in a factory manual transmission option.

It has been reliable outside of some age/mileage wear issues. The throttle body gave out so I had to replace that, as well as the radiator because the plastic tank started leaking. Only other thing i’ve done I had the timing and water pump service done, that’s more preventative maintenance rather than necessary.

the gs300 is a rebadged aristo. and this v300 edition has a 2jz GTE which was never available in the lexus. only has the 2jz GE and 1uz in the GS400

I have the same model V300 JZS161 Aristo with the number plate RAR 1570 = R ARI570 Mine is year 1999 and it is only done up to 70,000Km only with original paint. It is my spare car and I love this car so much. Everything is stock condition.

I own a paid off Camry. Love its reliability, can't go wrong with Toyota. But I want to take the next step up without financing a newer car. GS 300s always looked cool but never really appealed to me. Randomly came across this car and it seems perfect for me to up my drive while being outside the box. Thanks for this review man.

As long as the car is over 25 years old it’s legal to import, as far as registering it that’s where it might get tricky because it won’t pass emissions. For me in AZ, its emissions exempt as long as I have collectors insurance on the car. Which is the kind of insurance you want anyways on these kind of cars, so it works out.

the four wheel steer is what really seperates the V300 MK1 and V300 MK2. Thats how u know you got a real Vertex Edition. Not every V300 is a Vertex Edition apparently lol.

lol nice selling points on point. I wish mine had the sunroof option. Keep the seals cherry and it’s not gonna leak… but I love my leather seats. It makes the car feel so much more precious than a jzx100.

i was looking for the cloth seats since they were never an option in the US, at least in this color. I had a GS300 so I had the leather and sunroof experience also, but i sold that car recently and am now missing the luxuries a bit for sure.

congrats bro! whatever you do keep your resonators in, it reduces the rasp you get on the GE engines. All I have done to my GS300 is a rear muffler delete with 4.5in tips and it’s loud while still sounding great.

@@abdullahkareem6681i deleted the mufflers and secondary cat from the exhaust, it has a TRD catback with no resonators so it’s essentially straight piped. it’s mainly the BOV making it run rich, that’s why it pops haha.

BOV was easy to install, took me 30 mins at the most. head unit was trickier because I couldn’t find any wiring diagrams for bypassing the JBL amp. if you have a test light and some patience you’ll be alright.

@@spaceboatt according to Google the 400 was 46,000 and the 300 was 37,000, so I’d say 50k-ish considering the difference between an NA Supra and turbo Supra was around 15k. Apparently the V300 was sold for 4.4 million yen which came out to 30k usd so there’s also that. But I imagine not having to import it to a different country means it’s cheaper and also not being labeled the luxury brand.

no its not. the gs400 comes with the 1UZ FE v8 engine. the GS300 comes with the 2jz GE. this Aristo is a like top trim of GS300 with the 2JZ GTE which we never got in the USA. the 2jz GTE is alot better than the 2jz GE. only the supra got the 2jz GTE in the USA.
