Great video, thanks! For me the hardest part was to separate the old filter and top metal housing. Also need to mention that when you reassemble the new filter in place and connect the hoses, then you need to remove the apendicite cap and pump the filter until air goes off and fuel starts to drip.

Great video Just with the priming I found there is a pipe with cover near the primer that should be removed when priming to allow air get through.

if you prime it with all the hoses connected it doesent work you have to leave the hose open to the injection pump and wait till it leaks, people just pump air .. common mistake

A fellow Burke! Got the check fuel filter warning light as well as the battery warning light on dashboard on left side guage. Right guage displays check battery.

Is this the same process for a 2007 Auris? Dash light says I need to drain water / change filter, happy to do this change if its roughly the same but how is the yellow error cleared ? Will it auto clear? Is the electrical bit the switch for the dash light triggered when water is in there? Sorry for questions, not worked on many diesels.

I don't know if it will auto clear. You can try to disconnect the battery for a few minutes if it doesn't.

I went to buy service parts. Generally, I buy engine oil, air filter, oil filter but they say fuel filter is for lifetime and if you want to clean it, you just remove it and clean and put it back. Is it really needed to clean the fuel filter? If not what could happen?
