Toyota Aygo 2016 - Oil & Filter change

Lovely video, I changed my mum’s oil and filter on her car this week. However I highly recommend getting a proper oil filter socket, I tried using the one in the video, but it wouldn’t budge or get any grip. On the plus side though, I’ve saved her £200 and still used genuine parts.

Yeah so I fit a variety of filters to different cars and bikes so this one is universal, and I use a rubber strip to improve grip. Getting it in and leverage was awkward, a socket type would have helped, but I used what I had and it came out, but I realise there are better options. Glad you saved your mum money. These cars are very easy to work on and there are loads of videos on different aspects. This year I need to do the drop links, lower control arms, brake pads and rotors, and no doubt a few other bits, but all quite straight forward on this little car. Best car I’ve ever owned.

Depends on where you live I guess, I use 5W30 and tbh oil is oil, I’d probably ask your local
