Clear and concise, no waffle (others please take note) Thank you very much for an excellent video.

The reason many creators do not cut out the 'fat' is that it makes their video longer and if they can keep it a little over 8 minutes it qualifies for mid roll ads, thus increasing earnings. In my view it's just cynical exploitation of the viewer and I refuse to do that. You'll see that most of my videos are well under 8 minutes. I prefer to rely on people's kindness and appreciation via my coffee link or YTs thanks

Hi Cyd! The cleaning of the PCV valve and the MAP sensor was successful! Engine starting is smoother, idle is better. I did this the first time, so I needed time and patience (meanwhile I own both!). The next cleaning will be a «Kinderspiel» (a child game). Thanks for explaining & see ya!

im saving up to buy one of these cars and these videos are so helpful to learn how to maintain and fix them, i almost feel like i know these cars inside out and i havent ever even touched one haha

Great to hear! They are honest little cars and make a great first car or second car in a family (which it is for us). There aren't many down to earth, basic, city cars anymore. It's a shrinking segment so mainstream manufacturers are stopping making them.

Love this channel, very usefully money saving, thank you. Did my daughters throttle body PCV and MAP sensor yaris 1kr at 80000. Very clean was surprised but I do do regular oil changes on it. Wasn’t running rough just thought at 80k and 12 yrs old would give it a go. Rattle engine but super tough and 55-60mpg

Thanks for sharing! This really helps out a lot! I want to just place new parts in it, should i do the engine flush first with the old parts or with the new parts? I do have a difficulty on finding the dutch part names but I'm just sure i need to clean or change them, and due to the low prices ill just change them I drive it daily back and forward 55 miles to work And been to spain and italy in it this year Don't even own the car a year i noticed the service papers are wrong so it might be without service for over a very long time, still it drives just good fuel consumption is a bit high though my friends car can go 60 miles more on a full tank similar driving style My car uses 1 liter oil a month, i don't drive terrible fast or in high rev's just sometimes getting up the highway when i already drove 20 minutes Bought already a new radiotor and hoses oil filter flush and ill be adding a bilstein lower kit new wheels to make it a fresh driving car i might be overdoing stuff but I'll wanna drive it till the engine dies

Hiya, did it run with the connector not attached? I am having a start stall issue. With MAF sensor you can just disconnect and see what happens , wonder about this one.

Can I use Electrical Contact cleaner instead of Carb cleaner on the IAT MAP sensor? Contact cleaner leaves no residue, I think 🧐

Just a quick query. I've cleaned the MAP, PCV, and the throttle body, but the car still has a flat spot at low revs. When manoeuvring the car at slow speed, for example, reversing onto the drive, the rev's drop, almost to point of stall. Sometimes, it does stall. I do have a fault code reader and it shows no stored codes. Only a basic reader though.

Hi can you come to my rescue over these issues.. exhaust carbon monoxide content after 2nd fast idle EXCEEDS DEFAULT limits.. So cleaning what you mentioned will work.. exhaust lambda reading 2nd fast idle outside spec levels..i will give you car reg YS56 GVD so you can read the actual issues. last one is weird exhaust fumes in car or on board..? To be honest Sarah has had KA with very similar issues her dad scrap car and bought this and I feel because small engined cars carbon build up is more common but regular service cleaning would simplify all above issues.. Look forward to your reply Tim

High CO means it's running rich or incomplete combustion. I suggest a *thorough* service. Change the oil - making sure to use a C3 grade (Mannol is good amzn.to/3kdZVZ6 and use a flush amzn.to/3keqcqn, Mann filter amzn.to/38owXTF). Change the plugs - standard fit are copper - 15k change interval amzn.to/3xW8WOz Change the air filter - if it's dirty it may restrict air flow - Mann are the best, Blue Print are good amzn.to/3OF0oSg 👆 I've got videos for all these things Clean the throttle body and idle control valve - kzbin.info/www/bejne/imqrdJWNpsSFa5o Clean the MAP / IAT sensor - this video Clean the PCV valve - kzbin.info/www/bejne/fWSXg2iJdsaXbZY When you change the sparks, clean inside the coil ends where they connect with some carb cleaner (get Wynns amzn.to/3Kkd4dC). Fumes _ inside_ the car? An exhaust leak probably. I've just ordered a new system for ours for 100 quid, but the video for fitting it will be a few weeks off. TBH for most owners it's just as well to go to an exhaust centre and have one fitted. Oh, and use super unleaded - ours really seems to like Tesco Momentum 99. When you've done all that and you have a tank of TM99, take it out on a good run and give it an Italian tune (ie a good thrashing - once properly warm)
