I bought a CH-R Nightshade edition a couple of months ago. It’s pretty cool to see how they’re built. I believe, in my opinion, that Toyota is the best vehicle builder in the world. They’re almost bulletproof from breakdowns and are affordable cars and trucks that last a very long time.

@@allistergraham6704 yes bro reliable but i ment the solid body build of Volvo cars how heavy they feel and safe for crashes, lets be real the Battery on the Hybrids are heavy so Toyota must save on weight to remain the fuel usage as low as possible, dont google and think what they say you have to see and feel for yourself the motor reliability is maybe better but are you willing to get more risk in death in trade for low Fuel usage not that Toyota isnt safe tough.

Great, where can I get a free transmission upgrade - to get rid of the faulty 2018 K114 transmission that Toyota in Turkey installed. Either a real automatic or the Corolla K120 CVT? So many with bad variator bearing in the first gen C-HR.

@@craiglillard Had the transmission fluid flushed at 30k miles. No problems - only have just under 32k miles on it. 2018 XLE ruby red-r code (white roof).

Hi, Don't know when Toyota changed their CVT to a system that doesn't use pulleys and drive belts any more. The gearing is now done via a planetary gear arrangement. Hopefully those commenting on transmission issues haven't encountered them on the latest system, as I have a (2023 model) C-HR on order !

The C-HR is a good looking vehicle, but unfortunately the drivetrain we get in the U.S. blows. Its simple and will be easy enough to work on someday, but honestly the only thing this vehicle has going for it is the fact that its still new and will probably be reliable...except for that variator bearing issue that requires the whole transmission to be replaced. I have a 1998 toyota camry that ive been fixing up and despite its age, wear, and issues I think I enjoy driving that car more than I do driving my C-HR.

EU version with 1.8L engine is just fine. Some countries have penalty taxes for vehicles with 2 liter engines. which they consider ostentatious and are taxed as "luxury" vehicles. .

@@mattdomingo4504 I had 89.4 mpg out of my 2.0L last weekend. There's very little difference between the 1.8 and 2.0 apart from power. I agree with Lee, the 2.0L is the best way to go with the C-HR.

Hi, I have a Toyota C-HR GR Sport 2.0l, 2021. It is OK, good engine, but I have a great problems with 5th door - cracking from the back, still the dealer in BG could not clear the problem, also a problem with the side mirrors - second time they refuse to fold, repaired once, but still the problem stays, also a slight crack from the steering wheel. The plastics inside easily scratches, not good quality😪. I am at 27000 km and still all the problems stay 😪. Not satisfied, especially at price of 39 000 euro I consider the quality awful. Turkey is not good, do not buy...really
