thank you so much for posting the video, I had a crack in rocker panel due to going over a high curb, needed to take off the side skirt for plastic welding, the tools suggested in your video are right on the money which saved me heaps time and effort, and I found all the bolts and nuts of my Toyota camry 2013 according to your video.

Nice video. I am in a feud with my local Toyota at the moment. The oil change tech improperly used the lift and bent the front driver fender out of alignment and crushed the rocker panel on my 2013 se. I’m sure it’s similar. Nice job

I am trying to remove the rocker panel off of my 2009 Camry, which has the exact same body style. I am going to try to take it off without jacking it up. Do you think there is enough space to pry of those clips and unscrew that two 10mm bolts? for the two side clips with the cross slots i have found a low profile mini ratchet wrench with screwdriver, so i can remove it without taking the wheels off. It might be tough to visually see the retainer clip that may give you trouble might be the front one that goes through both the rocker panel, splash guard and fender.

High grade video I was wondering if that is actually a metal rocker panel for plastic cover. I have a 2006 that has some bubbling on it and I wondered if I can unbolt it buy a new one paint it and pulled it back into place or if I have to cut and weld it in then paint it. Granted it's unknown as this video is now older so are the vehicles but most times you can reuse however that's also why I have master kits for those just in case instances

What is the part called that looks like a lil mud flap that holds up the rocker panel near rear wheel..I need that piece for my car before my rocker panel falls off. Thanks in advanced. It's a mud flap looking piece that there is a fastners that attaches to rocker panel.. in video it's the splash guard u talk about at 15.05. I need that whole piece. What's it called

Yes you can however do not block them or you'll have more serious issue later

You can remove the plastic clips and each of the screws and go up in that way with an extension wand the other thing is to take out any sort of decorative cover at the threshold and go down from the top

Question... in the same year make and model of the car you’re working on... the Toyota Part No.:75861-06010 PROTECTOR, ROCKER PANEL MOULDING Came off of my moms car. Is that something I need to replace or can she go without it? It the passenger rear tire as far as the location of the part I listed

So yes/no as that is dependant on where you are located in the US? if that's where you are. If in the salt belt areas where they use salt to aid in winter road management then yes cause the panel missing will allow corrosion to happen possibly at a more accelerated rate. It is a fairly large piece of trim and the vehicle looks odd without it in place. It is not a safety related issue but possibly in Cali that may me a visual inspection issue

RC Guy Garage thank you for your quick response do you happen to have an email or a way I can send you a picture possibly of the piece. So technically my mom came home and noticed that this little piece in her tire area so it’s the passenger side rear tire it’s a little square piece in front of the tire so kind of like the inside of the tire area which to me looks like it would be kind of the back holding the trim I guess I don’t know all the technical names anyway it has two screws in it one screw must’ve ripped out and the other screw which is further inside the tire area was holding the piece on long story short I couldn’t get into the garage to go grabbed a large or longer screwdriver so I needed to go somewhere and I took a box cutter and I cut the piece of plastic off LOL I’m not a licensed mechanic but I’m also not stupid when it comes to cars for lack of better terms LOL it didn’t look like a piece that was essential to the operation of the vehicle however watching your video now I’m thinking it might be a piece that is necessary to hold The trim in place LOL I’m trying to say exactly what happened and I don’t know specific terms for these kind of little pieces I’ve changed my brakes I’ve done stuff to the motor I’ve worked on cars all my life this looks more like a cosmetic piece however I know that a car is like a puzzle and I really don’t want the car to start Falling apart I mean it is my mom’s car LOL so she asked me because I am the one that kind of took my dad’s role after he passed away I’m the one who does all the handyman work around the house and stuff ha ha Ha

It sounds like you are talking about the underside flap that extends downward towards the road. If that is the piece then yes mostly likely superficial

You may need to determine how it's loose either purchase new push clips or if the panel is damaged another avenue may be necessary.
