Oh man, that is a proper sickener. Who would have known that a relatively thin pinstripe could hide so much!! I still don't really understand what they did though, did they just repaint the lower half of the car, and somehow that deep gouge happened for some reason? Seems very strange... At least, as its coming into the winter months, its a good time of the year to take the car off the road and get all of that work done, ready for next year when you can hit the road and enjoy the car as you would want it.

They painted just the lower half maybe to save money? I had a feeling about the pin stripe as weird to have done, but I am looking forward to a respray and getting this car perfect.

@@Challengetheroad Yeah, JDM cars are not particularly well known for their pin stripes, so you would be asking questions on that one alright 😉 Once you are finished with it, it will look factory fresh again, looking forward to seeing it all done 👍

Awesome car but you really badly need 50mm wheel spacers on the rear & 25mm spacers on the front! I own two of the 1,800 Japanese RC models & a big problem with these cars is it's impossable to get the wheels flush unless spacers are used, but they will greatly improve the look of the car and the handling will also be greatly improved

Man! How cunning. Easy to see why you didn't pick it up on delivery because the pin stripe would give the optical illusion of zero colour difference. Sorry to see this happen to you. Still repairable but buggers up the originality. Best of luck with the repair.

I own a CS in the same colour but mine requires a full restoration. I’m Gutted for you I was looking at this car on other platforms before it went on collecting cars and they were asking £20.000. Some things I noticed from the photographs didn’t add up so I walked away. But I wouldn’t of expected that. The original advert suggested it was the cleanest and most honest CS you would find. The best of luck restoring a very rare car.

Oh no that really sucks. On the upside you will have a full respray and never worry about it paint again. Loves the wheels a 10 mil spacer. That plate in the front must come off. U will not good air flow to engine turbo, plus makes car less clean

Go enjoy it for ABIT and make sure drives spot on , then do the paint , I'd put the strip back on for the period lol

Not a nice surprise but you got the car for £2k under what you thought. Should soften the blow. I think you need spacers all round, wider on the back, for that san remo stance.

Defiantly spacers on the back needed - I did ask about the pin stripe thought it was strange
