I just did this to my moms car. First time it’s had it done in 115,000 miles. Car had a really rough idle and stayed at 550 rpm. After I cleaned it out it idles super smooth around 850

I did this to my 2014 Toyota Corolla S with 99,000 miles and took it off completely disconnected it and everything started it back up drove it and was perfectly fine no issues after

Hey man, my car jerks sometimes after stopping at a red light, and then after the jerk when i start driving again sometimes when i press the gas in the rpms dont go up as much as it should for a bit. I looked it up and seen throttle body a few times but in this video you keep mentioning stalling so is my problem not related to the throttle body? Thanks.

It Could be throttle related could be getting stuck do throttle cleaning and idle relearn

This usully don’t cause check engine but did u scan for codes by the way. Do this service and u will see some results and benefit from it in long run… worth doing it and do it correctly

I have a 2021 Corolla and just did this myself but the strange this is my brother stepped on the gas and the flap would not open so I opened it with my fingers and he accidentaly cranked the engine and now I have the check engine light and a Drive-Start Control Malfunction message. My car has 44k miles. Did I mess it up my using my fingers or was it my brother accidentaly turning the key on shortly?

@@RBTheMechanic Awesome, I saw your other video and followed the intructions and the engine lights is off now, thanks a ton brother. The only thing showing now is “Engine Maintenace Required”. I took it to my dealer and it turned out to be the engine coolant bypass valve, in my case it’s under my extended warranty and they loaned me a 2024 Prius at no charge. 🙏🏼🙌🏼

I’m gonna try this, my 05 Corolla starts but idles for a short time then stalls. 0 Rpm when pressing the gas while in idle. And the car jerks hard when putting into gear. It was working fine until after I drove it for a day when I changed my spark plugs and oil

I cleaned my throttle body with the CRC cleaner but the car still idles rough. RPM goes up around 2000, shakes, then engine stops/stalls. I removed the negative terminal prior. Do you know how to fix this please? Thanks!

When u removed the battery u lost all the idle memory so now u need to struggle a bit. Try one or the other usully I try this first drive the car around for about 15-20 minutes not highway some where local and no traffic cuz will stall and die u can use both feet one to brake and other to keep the rpm alive after good drive it will build the idle speed and relearn the idle make sure all accessories are off radio lights anything that’s not needed ac heat blower wipers all off

What is the rpm? It maybe need throttle cleaning service

That’s normal for Corolla, it’s because 4 cylinder engines tend to vibrate on idle. If there’s no balance shafts. Turn your headlights on or ac on you will notice when the rpm’s rise the vibration stops.

I just did mine, first the rpm was at 550 or 600 at parking or when I stop, sometimes went down 500 and stall, after I cleaned it now it’s at 1000 or 800 rpm at idle, is that normal ???

Yes like 750 800 is normal it will settle give it a few days

Did u scan the code? First see what are the code for the lights and u can use scan tool to reset

@@PolaSabir u need a scan tool people usully disconnect battery but on these new cars ur throttle will loose memory idle will drop car will stall intermittently so it wouldn’t be good idea

this is ez throtle body in the front, intake in the front , it should b ez to replace intake. not ez to change exhaust manifold., in the back mr rb.

Yeah the xse doesn’t have physical key start and I just pushed the flap back and cleaned it hopefully won’t damage it by doing it manually 😅

Hey, I have a 2020 Corolla SE. I tried doing this process with the help of my friend but the throttle body was not opening up. I sprayed some throttle body outside it in case it was jammed but it still didn’t open. I put everything again as it was earlier and when I cranked the car to check if it’s running, all the sensors were malfunctioning. Can someone help me out

He drill a hole on top the cap, long copper tube that will hit the bottom of the Seafoam can, and on top he made a custom valve( on and off shut off valve) various hoses that will accommodate any motor hook-up..he told me hook up vacuum lines.. pvc, intake manifold. This will suck up the Seafoam throughout the engine..Start the engine and make sure to hookup your hose before you start the motor, just a 1/4 turn on the valve, let the Seafoam do the work. The exhaust will start showing all that build inside the motor coming out. Slow process, don't rush, a little of seafoam..when the can is almost open full and let it soak it all up and turn engine off, wait for 5- 10 minutes...then drive vehicle in freeway to burn off the rest of the Seafoam..
