Hello! fellow 2E tuner here with an E100 chassis, what's your vacuum reading on the air-fuel mix and what's your ignition timing with the vacuum advance disconnected?
@jansonhokienseng68703 жыл бұрын
I guess, if he disconnected the vacuum the reading bet will be at about 20° BTDC. Will retard about 10 deg.
@RuggedGarage3 жыл бұрын
I haven't got around to running with no vacuum advance will do a vid soon I agreed with the comment by Janson it will be somewhere around 20-25 deg
@nicustah79633 жыл бұрын
@@RuggedGarage You're looking at 114-120 average bhp at that degree of timing with the vacuum advance off based on my experience, it can be 3 hp more or less in 114 and 120 alone.

Nice job mate 👍 if the carb tune well, vacuum secondary butterfly valve open all the way, it can hits 7.5k rpm like piece of cake. Recently I use 3e piston, higher compression so the timing advanced is less than 2e can be.

That exhaust sounds amazing. Does that r1 tip still have cat invert inside, as well as your stock exhaust pipe?

yea sound nice as no cat inside the r1 tip just a muffler and stock exhaust from header to the rear

what valve clearance did you use in stock cams? thank you in advance for answering my question
@RuggedGarage3 жыл бұрын
Hey bro the Stock valve clearances are 0.008 for both intake and exhaust do this after the engine is at running temperature and do a recheck a few days later you will know if it's not right because the tappets will make a lot of noise if the gap is too big thanks

Whats the benefit of doing these mods, and are there any downside of it, like fuel consumtion being more thirsty, ect.. i love the sound and the interior setup.. im using ee90 corolla as well.. much love and thanks for sharing your knowledge.. greetings from east indies

The new exhaust tip makes the engine flow better and the increased timing will make it a bit faster and gives it a good top end power band. I don't run this setup anymore I'm currently running 20 degrees vacuum locked with 2.5 inch exhaust with 1.5 inch reducers with performance headers and Coby mufflers tip

Im back on another video. U make great content. But to be completely honest. I am very new to the whole tuning scene. I stuck a poddy on my 2e and the 2 vacuum lines in the stock intake I’ve just stuck a screw in and it seems to run fine. I’m not sure if its damaging the engine and if it is im not sure how to sort the vacuum lines.
@RuggedGarage3 жыл бұрын
should be fine as long as you don't have any vacuum leaks thanks.

Hi! Can you tell me exactly how to run the distributor advance? I have a 3e that used to be EFI but now it has a carburetor and I swapped the igniter distributor and got a 2e one. But the vacuum advance is disconnected.

Engine seems to run pretty nicely. I've got this engine in my Starlet P8 it is EFI though. Is this tuned on E10 or E0? pretty hard to find pure gasoline/petrol/E0 in Europe. It does run much better on E0 though. But hard to find. Most primium fuel is E5...

Hi, I own a Corolla E9 from `89 with an 2e with the bad carb. I don't really know what all of this means. Can you explain what you did in detail and what it does? I'm fairly new to this stuff and I would like to fix my bad 2e carb so I can start driving normaly again. I don't know any terms anyone is using, 30 degrees and everyting like that. Can you make a tutorial on how you did everything step by step, and not afterwards? Thank you very much!

Hi if you having problems with your carburettor watch this video kzbin.info/www/bejne/roTFgKatoZysa68 I would also go around with carb cleaner and spray the around the intake manifold and look for leaks around the gasket if it's leaking it can cause the engine to run like trash Iv been tuning it today its running 25 degrees of advanced timing no vacuum advance so to explain what it does the more timing you put in the more power you can get out but within reason you have to run better quality fuel I run 98 octane fuel the car has a very strong power band at 4k RPMS and revs to 7k easy as will do a better video Soon thanks.

I'm running stock cam in it. The stock cam has heaps of valve to piston clearance at 30 degrees advanced timing no issues there. You've just got to be careful if you put a regrind cam and you will have to check the clearances for contact with the the small intake valve to the piston thanks.
