Here in saudi Arabia we swap these engine in hilux

For what they are, they are a great engine..... But! You have to disable the egr valve and fit a catch can. For common rail, they are a solid very reliable engine.

Are KD ftv engines interference or non interference engine? Im just worried if tbelt breaks if the piston may hit the valve.

It varies.... If you have idle problems replace the scv.

1KD =3.0L / 2KD = 2.5L

@@cristolespinozac7047 yes they just got it mix up i think it's like they think that 1 ment that its 2.5 while 2 means 3.0 like the JZ engine on the Supra when in fact in the KD engine 1KD stands for 3.0 while 2KD stands for 2.5 that also same goes for GD engine 1GD stands for 2.8 while 2GD stands for 2.4
