Toyota FJ Cruiser With Electric Rear Windows In This WILD FJ!

90% unseen footage was used to make up this video breaking down one of our favorite builds: the Toyota FJ Cruiser. So good we built it twice! This is the second version of the FJ for our shop. This build was to showcase an attempt at bringing the electric rear windows we call 'The Buddy Window System' to consumers. Every detail of the rear doors was to save costs. Everything else on the FJ was built to be badass.

We will only offer a full electric model. We are still trying to sort out the plastic door panel parts Adrian designed. Once we have those they'll be ready to go. We will announce the release and pricing here.

We looked into it, but the process would have cost too much. We still would need to send the panels out for scanning. But you'll be happy to know we have finally found a solution and we should have an update real soon! We are so excited to be able to close the book on this build!

for me is a waste of money ,better if you replace the headlights and the rear lights assemblies for good leds , the front grill in black and the fender flares black and dont paint it just wrap it

But we didn't see any issues with the OE Toyota lights or the grill. We figure there are people out there who would want to focus their builds on the lighting. As for a wrap, we discussed doing a wrap early on, but when it came time we felt painting it would be more of an impact. So maybe not a "waste of money" but a different use of money than what you'd spend it on?

If you look back over some of our past FJ videos you'll see the rear windows are something we have been working on making available to the public. It's the whole reason we built this FJ in fact. So we are still struggling with the internal door panel pieces...then...keep your eyes peeled!

Still having issues finding a shop to build the plastic panels for the interior door panels to fit our standards. Once those are done we can finally complete this build. This process for the panels has been going on for about year. We changed the direction last minute to make it more cost effective for the end user but now we have to get a shop to commit to building these panels.

We thought about it. Based on the livery for the 4Runner, Tundra, and Tacoma those builds had much longer bodies. We felt this shorter profile needed a bit more red upfront to complete the look.
