Its called Integrated Rigid Thermal Insulation , I love this type of insulation more like OEM on newer high end cars.

Would you be able to give us more details on the welded heat shields, I've done some searching and haven't found anyone else who welds them on. I haven't really been able to find much info on it at all!

I‘ll try to get someone in front of a camera to explain this. 😁

Hi Phil... Did you say on another video to wrap it back to front or front to back.? (I can't find the video) Regarding the air flow into the overlaps. Thanks.

hI phil, thanks for your sharing! I have a question, I saw thermo-tec has 1 in. x 50 ft and 2 in. x 50 two specs, which one do you recommend for wrapping my gr yaris's cat-back pipe?
@RotheliRacing2 жыл бұрын
I would take the 2“ wide.

@@RotheliRacing agree, i wrapped the top third of my NA v6 including the manifolds with 2" much easier to cover than with the 1" i always used that spray too its very effective
@micsub2 жыл бұрын
@@colinscutt5104 1" is more for complicated curvy parts of exhausts like some headers. For those parts the 2" is a bit too wide and gets thick on the inside radius of the curves because of excessive material building up when overlapping each turn. Not sure I was clear here ?

Temperature "guns" do not work correctly on reflective surfaces, you need to put some black tape on it to measure correctly, or use a EGT probe or something that does not burn. It would have been nice to know how hot the rear diff actually gets, the models without Mechanical LSD should not have problems getting hot.

Hi Phil, why not ceramic coat?
@RotheliRacing Жыл бұрын
Because this method keeps heat in the exhaust much better than ceramic coating.

Viele Hersteller isolieren so Ihre Auspuffanlagen von ganz „normalen“ Sportautos. 🤷🏻♂️

Hi Phil, which de-cat downpipe is this? and does it reduce from 100mm / 4" down to 75mm / 3" roughly? Maybe you've done a video on it I've missed - - - maybe not, I thought I'd binge watched them all(!)
