Found a dealership that had both here in AUS yesterday and finally got to see them up close side by side. I'm 188cm tall, I sat in the 1st gen and instantly was surprised how little the vision gap between the mirror and info system were. After that I didn't even ask to drive it. Went straight to the 2nd gen and WOW what an improvement, yes the dashboard looks retro but I also preferred it. Plus on the test drive realised I wasn't even looking at it. I have only driven the GR Corolla and 2nd gen GR Yaris at this point and there is s huge difference in seat of the pants performance. Once the auto version arrives in Australia I'll pick either auto or manual for purchase. Loving the Yaris content! Looking forward to hearing more about your larger sump pan.
