Toyota GR86 Spare Tire

The all new 2022 Toyota GR86 does not come with a spare tire. We had two options, order one from the dealer or pay some chump change for one at our local self serve auto parts junk yard. Its a no brainer. Thank you to the donor Subaru Forester for producing a heck of a spare tire. We test fitted the spare tire on the front, it drove really well with no issues!

I went to the junk yard and got a new real spare tire, jack and handle for $25.00 Can’t believe the Toyota and Subaru provide it???

Great video Ralph. What size tire is that spare? The one's I'm seeing for a subaru forester are 165 70R17 so the dia. is a little over and inch taller.

Yep, I got my emergency jack, lever, and tire from ebay lol. With room to spare for the air compressor too. It's stupid how modern cars are getting rid of spares.

Hi! have you got any idea of the Subaru's year? Cause there's 3 gens of Foresters, none is usually found here and I think I have to check on the net. thanks

Thanks, The car is in Colorado now, where my son is stationed. We didn't get the size. The GR86 does have a round spare tire compartment and I can say that the spare tire from the Forrester fit in that compartment nice and snug.
