Very cool project, the time and skill it took to fabricate something like that, must have been insane. It looks amazing, job well done! I am currently working on an ae86 project, but want to build a sort of "skeleton car" project next.

SR20. A fairly underrated engine. With the VE head and darton sleeves that 4banger can survive very high horsepower....... The SR20 is the base (altho a billet version) for the worlds fastest/strongest 4 cyl DRAG car too. it pushes OVER 2000 HP!!!! I have myself had a SR20 pushing 900 on the rear Wheels

I would've put a 4age silvertop or blacktop, 3sge or a 1jz under the hood to keep it Toyota to much nissan parts but it's still a pretty nice build.

Agreed with the Toyota spirit of it like you said, but this car or truck or whatever you want to call it I image is so light that it would be overkill to have a 1J in it olys it would make it more nose heavy. It seems like he wanted to have it more balanced front to back and stiff as possible and low as he could go. Far back as the engine is that is in it in this video that's what I gathered anyway. Could be wrong though! Its happened once or twice before. LoL.

James Zimmermann reliability maybe? Plus the ute is so lightweight it doesnt need a monstrous straight 6 pushing to much power with 70% of the weight over the front axle.

Tim Atkinson I know about engineered to slide. I followed the build on Speedhunters.... He learned a lot about fabrication etc while building this machine, hence the ugly welds.
