This series is the best series to prove the everlasting durability of the Hilux pickup. Sad thing is, they will never make more the way they did these ones. Hilux is the Hi Point of trucks. For reference a Hi Point is one of the ugliest looking pistols you’ll ever see. It’s mostly plastic, doesn’t even look like a real pistol, it looks more like a BB Gun, but you can beat the absolute piss out of them and they will still shoot straight.

In comparison to metal frame pistols, the slide works till it shatters (which is not the easiest thing to do). The brittleness of the slide is only a factor if it hits a rock on a sharp point, and most other guns would cease to run at that point too. remember, brittle = hard and ductile = soft. side note, i've personally seen a high point yeet cannon put through the same tests as garand thumb and it still ran fine (well, as fine as a HP will) afterwards. maybe he got a dud? though i will say, i would never buy a high point. theyre so u g l y

There's a lot of stock vehicles that could do just as well. My 97 Isuzu Rodeo has impressed everyone on trips out, similar to this.. The smaller, over built form factor is just a great set up. That front axle is on another level though with those giant ball joints. I want that axle. lol.. Although, to be fair, I've never broken axles/ cv shafts or diveshafts on my Rodeo and i've had it in a lot of places like this. (not as rough on it though)

Here in Australia, these are some of the most commonly owned 4WD, I've had two over the years, my first one was the same model you're trying to break and it's a hard thing to do, break a Hilux. There’s a lot of em around here but they’re all pricey for battered beer cans they’ve been rolled 5-6 times with 390k miles. Clean ones will run ya 15-20k easily. But battered ones are anywhere from 4-8k depending on year. 2wd trucks are like 2-3k though

Im almost 65 and had a 1986 LANDCRUISER but a divorce took it. After seeing this im ordering another Landcruiser Prado! You made me laugh so hard i almost pissed myself! Get a line of flex ball caps and t- shirts out! You are truly FN AWESOME! Just like a Toyota, and God Bless you!

You ever own one? They are for reliability ,walk around a north amercian vehicle and out last 10 of them. You dont buy them for burning rubber or speed! Duh....

@@darrylhansell3300 definitely reliable but I tow sometimes and used to struggle going up hills at speed. Get a 200 series instead and get the best of both worlds.
