I've thought about maybe some day visiting the Philippines. Not sure I could handle it. I have too kind of a heart. I would want to take in every stray dog and care for it. And seeing poverty stricken people kills me. I've never been homeless but I've been really poor. But it's so beautiful there and I would love to see that side of it.
@kanointhephilippines80822 жыл бұрын
The Philippines is beautiful, you are correct. The people here are what makes it great. Most everyone contributes to the family unit so in many they are strong and can make ends meet. Stray dogs are everywhere in the province but all left over rice and food goes to the dogs, almost every house feeds them. Thanks for commenting.

You and I have a mutual friend here in the states. He has been planning a trip there to see you for a year or better. I watch his dogs when he is gone and can't take them with him. He just had back surgery and I have them now in fact. He tells me things about you and the Philippines. He can't wait to be able to come . He so needs this vacation. So when he finally gets to come you have to take extra special care of this man for me, he means the world to me. I loved the video you did about your place in the mountains. Showing how it looked at the time and telling about all your plans for it in the future. Looked so pieceful. Have you finished your landscaping you wanted to do there? And you have another place you live as well? Do you plan to do a video of the work you have done to the mountain property? Would love to see it. And I love your truck. Looks like a nice ride. The Hilux J 4x4 6-speed manual transmission is all worth it for its price of just about PhP1.2 million even when it’s engine is just a small displacement 2.4-litre (2GD-FTV series)…. Mine is a 2022 Hilux Cnquest manual transmission, also with the 2.4-litre turbo Diesel engine. It pulls sizeably strong for its small displacement especially when in power-mode….. The technology now in diesel turbocharging and high-pressure rail injection is advance where old diesel with relatively bigger displacements are just clunkers in the past. It may not be as strong compared to the 1GD-FTV series 2.8-litre or the 3.0-litre engine on the Isuzu D-max or Mazda BT-50 but there is really not much difference since we normally use our utility pickups in the tarmac or paved roads and we don’t usually wrong out their necks in off-roading either….. On normal mode, the 2.4-litre Conquest can speed up to 170 kph and on power-mode it easily reaches 180 kph or so…. And going up to Baguio City or the Cordilleras (via the Kennon Road and Marcos Highway), it really pulls with gusto as long as you let it sing in the right rpm and you’re on the right gears (but you cant’t really lug it at low engine speeds climbing up unlike the bigger 1GD-FTV mated Hilux or the 3.0-litre D-max and BT-50)…. They like, however, being loaded at the back such that the rear is quite a bit ‘squatted’ that it doesn’t bounce easily up and down in oscillation where transfer of the power to the wheel is thus better and traction is enhanced After some 6000 km on the odometer so far in combined Metro Manila-AngelesCity-Subic-Baguio-NLEX-SCTEX-TPLEX-Kennon Road-Marcos Highway-MacArthur Highway driving on usual normal mode and at times on the power mode (I don’t use the eco mode), my average fuel consumption todate is 14 km per litre

In case you upgrade next time bro, make it so that you get the Hilux Conquest 4x4 manual transmission with the 2.8-litre inline-4 cylinder (1GD-FTV) - this engine will definitely be tweaked yet again in the factory in 1 year or 2 years from now to 221 hp with 550 Nm of torque as Toyota has to keep up with the market, and even when it’s not really a performance pickup unlike the all-new Ford Ranger Raptor (small brother version or Australian-version of the F-150 Raptor) 3.0 V6 gasoline, Toyota at least can show the market, despite it has no answer for it, that it upgraded the power figures on its top-trim Hilux pickup…. I’m waiting too when Toyota release a new or face-lifted yet again Hilux Conquest with the upgraded 2.8-litre 1GD-FTV engine in 1 year or 2 years time from now.
