The paint issues were common on Mazda in the 2000's and early 2010s. Apparently they were undercoat properly.

The CVT in my '22 OB XT is fine.... very little difference between that and our previous 2010 Chevy Malibu 4cyl. Two things about the CVT: 1) CVTs LOVE an engine with ample torque, the more the engine has, the more the CVT acts & feels just like a classic automatic transmission, and 2) If you are the type of driver that has to frequently stomp on the gas, and then stab the brakes over & over & over as a driving style, you're probably not going to care for any vehicle with a CVT.

I love this Mazda CX-5 car. it's just to small in the back. Im 6 foot 1 inch. The Cx-5 should have been modeled after the interior space of a Honda CRV.

My Ford Lincoln Town Car with a 4.6 liter V8 gets better mileage than this little 2.5 liter, and it doesn't leak any water. It cost $4,000 2 years ago.

Back in 1987 when I was taking driver's education there were very few people who called it a parking brake. It was called an emergency brake. In most emergencies if you brakes go out you won't HAVE an emergency brake to bring the car to a stop since they are tied to the regular system. I have witnessed an accident where someone saw the light turn green but the person in front of them didn't, but the air bags went off when basically the front vehicle got pushed up on the median. It freaked out the guy's kids. And even though I was not asked for a witness statement I not only saw but heard everything. Including the guy in front yelling something about wishing he had an emergency brake on the car when he saw in his rear mirror what the guy in back of him was about to do.
