Progress!!!! Inspiration too. I’m gonna get a battery for mine this week and see if it still runs:-). I’m guessing you don’t have a shop manual? I don’t remember, but your car is a 93, right?

Ours is indeed a 93 (Rev 2). We sort of have a shop manual, in that it’s a downloaded copy for a slightly later model US car. So it mostly works for us, but differs occasionally, especially when it comes to the engine, as the US didn’t get the naturally aspirated 3SGE that we have 😕

Just a curious question... Do you ever wish you'd spent a couple of grand more and not had to do all this work. Don't get me wrong, I love a project too, but sometimes you have to learn when to scrap it... Please don't scrap it, keep the channel going!!

Never. No doubt it would have been cheaper and quicker to pay a mechanic, but the goal was to have a project car and do as much as possible ourselves. It can suck sometimes, but 99% of working on Misty has been awesome, and we’ve learned a lot on the way 👍

@@EnginesandUnfinishedBusiness I'm speaking as someone who bought a "cheap" 320d and "may" have spent more personal time and money on fixing it last year than it cost 😂 I'm still craving an MR2 but a good friend bought one last year which I got to drive a lot and made me want one even more, but lesson learned, I'm thinking keep the same budget for fixes as the car cost. Would that be a fair estimate?
