Awh I came here to see how you get the old rusty one off and you fast forwarded through that bit without any voice over or text typed tips.

Hi Jason. Big joe from Glasgow here. The orange callipers look great very good contrast to the black paint. It's a ton of work but it'll be worth it. Great video. Cheers

Cheers Joe! Yea I’m chuffed with how they look want to do some of the suspension complements in the same colour just to add some extra detail. As you say ton of work but will be worth it! Jason

that new piston, did it require cutting the old piston to get the nut out of it?
@TrackAndBeyond2 жыл бұрын
Yes mate have to cut the old piston up and get the handbrake mech out of it then put it inside the new piston and apply the circlip. Hope that helps

@@TrackAndBeyond appreciate it. got one caliper apart. the others so seized its taking a bath inside and out in kroil. looks like i'll be cutting up the piston for the one apart later today

regarding the rear brake caliper, how do you release the top main pin to separate the caliper from the bracket? mine will pivot, but I can't pull it off.
@TrackAndBeyond2 жыл бұрын
Pivot it up so it clears the brake pads and pull it toward the inside of the arch. Could be. A bit seized maybe
@bradleywesterford35872 жыл бұрын
@@TrackAndBeyond Yeah it was definitely seized! Had to pull the little metal cap off and pound the pin out. All good now tho. Guess that 35 year old grease gets a little sticky! :) Thanks for the help.

Hi Jason, just in relation to the caliper cylinder. You said you replaced it, I am in the process of rebuilding mine and I'm wondering how you removed the internals of the old cylinder
@TrackAndBeyond2 жыл бұрын
Hey bud, you have to grind or cut the piston to release the mechanism. I did this on the one side as it was badly pitted however on the other side it was pretty good and I just cleaned it up with some fine sand paper. Hope that helps Jason

next time.. MAYBE just mention bolt sizes and types.. skipping past the most essential info for what is supposed to be a complete build video.. is more a.. general parts swap vid to teeny bopper music... add in the proper info and ull have old schoolers like me subscribing.. we want concise rellevent info over tinsel...
@TrackAndBeyond25 күн бұрын
Hi, when you purchase the kit it comes with all the bolts etc so I didn’t source those separately. If I had of sourced these myself I would have indicated that.

@@TrackAndBeyond No.... people come to these for info... bolt sizes of bolts u cannot see if u know them is vital.. simply mention the size.. simples... i watched another vid after yours where the video was crap.. but.. he mentioned 17mm... took 2 seconds.. comments were that other vids didn`t bother to tell them what they needed to know the most... most don`t have lifts.. they`re scrambling around in the dirt reaching around to what they cant see in tight spots.. the size of what they`re after latching to is the most important thing to them.. maybe the only info they need out of the whole vid
