no oil out tail pipe even when burning oil unless cat converter is bad, its cleans up the smoke very efficiently

you gotta clean out those oil return holes behind the oil ring, problem will come back again, how many km it will take not sure. you have freed up the oil rings............well done on that success....very nice job. but next step is to work out how to clean out the oil return holes without taking engine apart....that is the real challenge to solve this completely, apart from take out pistons and clean out the oil return holes and make bigger and add more holes. The oil return holes are the source of the problem.

@name not shown : point of this video is to do it without disassembling any engine parts. For cleaning oil passages on piston and rings, I did seafoam on crankcase and changed oil at the very start of Part 1. I did seafoam in crankcase at first oil change again. We need to be careful with cleaners on VVTI engines, should clean it very lightly.

@@DoItYourself-Becreative thanks for reply, ok understood, cant be too severe with the seafoam or similar, I really wonder is there a way to clean out the oil holes behind the rings without dismantling anything, I realise a very difficult challenge. I have one idea that might have a chance of working: Fill oil to a very specific high level, to just below top of piston when pistons are at bottom of stroke. Will require some seafoam or similiar in the oil. Each turn of the engine will mean the underside of the piston will hit the oil which is at very high level, that oil/seafoam mix will be hit the piston return holes from the inside of the piston, hopefully dissolving/dislodging the clooged holes. I'm guessing this method might work if the engine can be turned over at a low rpm for probably quite a long time, maybe many hours or even a day or two. I'm also guessing this would require starter motor to be the power source for that. Whether or not oil will leak out somewhere ( might need to block the breather valve hose on tappet cover, pcv valve) or somewhere else? I doubt could actually run the engine with this much oil in it without causing some damage to something, so would need gentler approach with starter motor ( whether the starter motor could run long enough without overheating to achieve results is another issue). Would like to hear your thoughts on this idea. If anything in my idea doesn't make sense let me know.

@@namenotshown9277 Or... Warm up engine, hand crank the engine until all the pistons are at mid stroke, over-fill crank case with seafoam, wait one week, drain oil, put new oil (correct amount), and see if that helped.

Perhaps you can try BG EPR 109 which is better than seafoam...

For my 2AZ-FXE engine I use marvel mystery oil 15% to each oil change and 4oz to gas tank per 10gallon gas work really good. The car have 200K miles and runs like new. Without MMO additive the car burns oil like a thirsty monster.

Marvel Mystery oil is safe to use in the gas ??

@@bobha3639 thnx dog, excellent solution, easier than tearing down the engine, no marvel myst. oil in australia, so seafoam although really rare and expensive out here does the job. 15% is quite high ratio

Hello Sir, could you help me with this, I bought a rav4 2007 sport 2.4cyl with 118,000 miles back in October. I have been checking the oil frequently afraid of this oil consumption problem, I changed to synthetic Valvoline oil on mile 120,100 afraid of this and keep checking it so far 500 miles after the last oil change the question is how do I know for sure if this rav4 I have burns oil or not? So far I haven't seen a lower oil reading in the dipstick.

Check your oil every 500 miles, you will notice after 1000 to 1500 miles. Change your engine oil on cars manufacturing specs ON TIME, you will be good.

Hey, thank you for your replay, quick question, I used Valvoline semi-synthetic oil 3200 (0W-20) miles ago, right now checking my oil I see that it's getting to the low level in the deep tick mark point, what do you think should I put an Oil change ASAP and should I just stick with conventional oil due to the fact it is making me changing it every 3000 miles
