Very helpful video. I've done this job on BMW's before, but seeing your video defiintely helped prep for doing the Boulevard. Did the job today without a hitch. Took about an hour all together. I must emphasise that watching your video was perfect preparation. Many thanks. BTW, the splines were totally dry - no grease at all. Shocking or what!!!

You do realize you need a battery charger on battery when doing a compression test, because by the time you get to last cylinder the charge on the battery is a lot lower especially on a V12. 😉 Starter’s draw a lot of current even more when hot. A good point to sell customers on regular maintenance not the recommended one but the extreme one which is what there short trip condition calls for. Very good video. 👍

Hello, this is a good job. The mechanics look good. I am not sure that the vaseline you are using is suitable. Possibly with Molybdenum Disulfide and in this case it destroys the rubber gaskets.

Wise to use the 8 mm socket as the screw heads are JIS - Japanese Industrial Standard similar to Philips but they tear up the screw head as they are not the identical size.

That’s a whole lot better than no grease even if it’s the wrong grease. Many have nothing there but rust and no good teeth. Still looks great.

Thank you taking the time to share your experience in doing this timing belt replacement. It looks very straightforward and it’s great you showed how to mark the timing belt for removing and reinstalling. My wife’s RDX needs this done. I’ve done a 1991 Accord and it is very similar in process. Thank you again.

Thanks for your videos on your Suzuki Boulevard. I love watching and getting the confidence to do my own work on my 08 M50. I brought my bike a year ago, and I've noticed when I start my bike with clutch depressed and in neutral, the bike jerks forward. Would you have any idea or suggestions why it does that? I hope I so I can attempt to make the repair myself. Keep up the great videos.

Hello. On behalf of all Subaru owners, I would like to thank you for this valuable work. I have a few questions for you, do you plan to make a more detailed video? Do you only install the blanking plate on the right side? Are you installing this plate on the part of the metal pipe coming into the exhaust crankcase? In drilling 2 holes in a metal pipe, what should be the diameter of the hole and where exactly will it be drilled? We would be very happy if you would consider making a more detailed video. See you later. Kind regards. 👋
@DoItYourself-Becreative10 ай бұрын
Thanks, I plugged both from down side, watch video carefully, holes should be 8mm and at the top side nearby upper connection to the secondary valve.

@@DoItYourself-Becreative Thank you for your quick response and your kindness in replying. My car is left hand drive. Since I don't know your country, I am undecided on which valve should be drilled. Should I drill the pipe under the valve with the big socket?

Probably should put some clean oil through their without removing drain plug first so that you can flush all the old oil and sediment out before the final refill.

I appreciate you showing the 3 different areas. I saw a video on the forward end and rear but not the middle. Time for a new rear tire, so will do this. I did just the two when I first got the bike because I read there was a lack of grease fro the factory and there were failures , so I checked and greased. Looking forward to making sure all 3 points are taken care of. Thanks so much!
