Thank you. Just got my oil changed and the Toyota dealer did not reset the indicator. Couldn't find anything in the manuals so I did what I usually do to find repair information: go to KZbin. Worked like a charm. Keep this available.

Do the trip A. Turn off the car. Hold down the km/h/MPH button. Push down hold brake. Press and hold Power. you should be see the reset on the display. .

EXCELLENT VIDEO! You saved me so much time and worry. I got my oil changed by a non-Toyota oil changing place today, a place I've taken my Ford Ranger bunches of times, but I was a little concerned about taking the Prius there. Then when the OIL MAINTENANCE REQUIRED sensor wouldn't turn off automatically, I was more worried, but wow, your video was GREAT! Thank you from Orlando, Florida!

My 2010 makes me hold down the brake pedal while I turn it on or it doesn't go to that reset. Thanks for posting this! Damn dealership insisted they reset up but they clearly didn't since as soon as I went to leave the house the damn message was back again

2010 Prius IV here and it wouldn't reset without my foot on the brake pedal. Just an FYI for anyone interested. Brake applied> power off> Kmh/MPH switch held down>power switch held down. Thanks

IN CANADA - It seems there is no change oil light, so no reset required. Bizarre. Tried this on my 2010 Prius and nothing happens.
