Hey Mike! Welcome back!!! Hey I have a 2008 Camry Smart Key. I won't take the immo reset on the car. Is there a way to do it by eeprom? TIA!!! Also, my xtool won't connect to anything. It fails everytime after I updated it.

start by checking all the vehicle's fuses make sure non are popped .. what programmer are you using?? try using the key emulator and make a key..as for the xtool could be a bad plug? what model xtool is it??

Where you having a hard time reading with the clip? Or does this one require it to be removed. I was having a problem with a 1998 camry. I never removed the chip. But couldn't get it

Clone out and then clone back. After you got the EEPROM takes 2 minutes and job is done

2001-2003 Prius with AKL is a PITA. You must reflash immobilizer module. 2004 and newer can be done via OBD2 easy.

@@BoulderHybrids I didn’t say OBD. I said clone out. After you have the EEPROM from the car you can basically write a chip based of information that car already knows

If you have access to EEPROM, why not just write the virgin dump file then the car will auto learn any C chip keys you insert? @@avibenyair7861
