Toyota Prius Spoiler Repair

Nice repair, I know a couple owners that replaced the entire rear hatch because someone ripped the wing off.

So, I just took my rear spoiler off since it was very loose. My rivet-clips on the end are broken as well, but the bolt holes are fine, the bolts were just loose. I'm going to just reinstall the bolts and tighten then down and see if that makes the spoiler tight without having to drill out and replace those clips. Thanks for your video! It answered some questions I have in trying to do some of my own DIY fixes on my 2008 I just bought.

Should have just used JB Weld to add fender washers inside the destroyed bolt holes. Bolt on spoiler while wet. JB Weld would then dry with exact alignment.

Did you check beneath the spare tire for water intrusion? That is where my issue is.

You said you’d put a link for the rivets/clips on the ends. Can you please add this link? The toyota repair manuals are not very clear on this part.
