Glad I purchased a new 2nd generation 2021 Toyota Sequoia TRD Pro employing that bulletproof naturally aspirated 3UR-FE 5.7 liter V-8 engine and reliable 6 speed Aisan transmission

You can adjust the colors on the center dash display. So you can change from the Orange to the Blue you like, and there are few other colors.

The ride height thingy can be useful for those rock climbers who has the Platinum.

@methodical2 wait people are offroading platinums?

The cup holder in the center stack pulls right out also to store stuff under it.

Great video again! I see you dumped your Yukon and you live near the Flintstone rocks. Can you recommend any trustworthy mechanics in or near Redondo Beach CA ? Thanks !

I don’t know many as I try to do the work myself as much as possible

Very thorough! Really appreciate this as I am currently shopping for a new family vehicle! Did we ever find out if cooled seats came on lesser trim levels??

They only come on the platinum that I can see. For the tundra they are on the platinum and 1794 edition

Thanks, I agree. The scenery is what helps motivate me to make the videos, hoping it makes them more enjoyable

Just purchased a 2011 4.6, gets decent gas mileage for such a large SUV and being 14 years old

I wished the rear seats folded with just one press of the button vs having to hold them throughout the range.

Do you predominantly choose white because of the heat?
@dannyjohnsonsgarage5 ай бұрын
It definitely helps, but in this case there aren’t many color options for the sequoia. I’m not a huge fan of pearl either, but that’s how it came. My tundra is voodoo blue and my cobra screaming yellow, so I like the brighter colors. I like the Toyota orange too, but it wasn’t an option for this.
@XDMIIIIIIIII4 ай бұрын
@@dannyjohnsonsgarage cool, I asked because your Yukon was white too and you mentioned heat and seem to live near a desert 🤣. Although I generally like black cars and especially in SUVs, looks good in pearl

Pearl white is much better looking than the standard rental car white.

Great videos! Curious… would you ever recommend any full size suv from GM? I have four kids 5 and under, so need a lot of space. A suburban or a Yukon xl fit that bill. Or an expedition max. Wish the sequioa had just a bit more trunk space otherwise I would go with that in a heartbeat. Thanks!

I got the sequoia because all the GM large suvs will have the lifter problem unless you get the diesel. That engine was also new for 2021 I believe, so I would be skeptical of problems with GM’s reputation. I would not get a ford because the large SUVs are all the ecoboost with cam phaser problems and complications overall with a twin turbo setup (search and you’ll see what I mean). They may have it sorted out past 2022 so it would have to be new, but again too complex which is why I skipped even the new sequoia v6 twin turbo hybrid. I went with what I felt is the most reliable and simple long term. Luckily the new sequoia doesn’t seem to have the metal shavings in the engine problem the new tundras are having. It’s too bad there aren’t as many good options as bad. Otherwise get something with a warranty and sell it before it’s up

@@dannyjohnsonsgarage I really appreciate the reply.. low mileage sequoias with the 5.7 are soon going to be a fantasy… I better get on it. The platinum with those airbags seem great for towing a camper and the dvd player. I do believe I’ve seen some without that center console in the second row before though. Wish me luck. Got a new subscriber. ✌️
@chunkybuttz8444 ай бұрын
@@pewpewtactical5288The difference in second seating depends on which trim level. Platinum has the second row console and captain’s chairs. Limited has the bench seat in second row. Only the platinum has the airbag rear suspension though.

These Japanese engineers always over thinking things. We have an 06 sequioa its an sr5 but it has almost all the creature comforts of the limited 186k on the odometer

The only bad thing now is you won’t have the opportunity to make as many repair videos as you did with that other POS you had lol. On a sidenote, knobs are good, very annoying when everything is touchscreen including climate controls requiring you to take your eyes off the road for a simple task like turning up or down the AC or radio.
